Mr.Duke 1426ParticipantAs I’m waching the suns vs hornets game, I’m watching Devin brown score and score. And the name that instantly pops into my head is…. Lance Stevenson. They are almost twins on the court. Even how Brown reacts to the calls for the refs! They both shoot fairly well and take tough shots. Also they are both campable of comming down the lane and smashing one out of no where. What are your thoughts on this comarison?

boffacheeriosParticipantnever really thought of that, since brown isn’t really an outstanding player, but yes. minus the ball-handling on browns end of course.

Mr.Duke 1426ParticipantMaybe it’s just me bt I’ve never liked Stevenson personally. I don’t think he will turn into the player he was originally projected to be. That’s why I compare him to a mediocre NBA player capable of scoring in bunches every now and again.

los507ParticipantOn the money with that one, like you guys said minus the playmaking ability they are very similar. Body type is where they will really almost be identical when Stevenson matures a little.I hope maybe Lance will learn to share the ball like Brown. He will take his game to a new level if he picks up that trait. But the guy is young and when it’s all said and done I think he will be a very good player in the mold of Carmelo not that they’re games will be identical but in the way Melo is a very good pure scorer that can get his shot when he wants to.

quincey hodgesalot of people seem to be down on lance lately but this kid has alllot of talent..yeah he is still selfish but when he plays at his best he is one of the best players on the court…i wasnt too high on him untill i watched him play aau then when i say some tape of him playing against the other highly ranked players while trying out for the usa team(the younger ones) and he was just giving work to everyone out there…but he got cut because he was too selfish and his attitude was horrible. i havent watched cincy play yet so i dont know if he has been cursing his teammates out …

JNixonParticipantI’ve always been a big Stephenson guy…he has the ability only a few players have to take over games on both ends of the court. He’s capable of being the best player on the floor and he has every tool you need to be a dominant player, minus a notch of athleticism. I still think Paul Pierce is his best comparison, even though Devin Brown is a good comparison, it’s a worst-case scenario to me.
