could i have been wrong when i said curry wont do much this year if he ever plays?…its only been one game he only played 11min but he looked leaner and had 10pts 4reb…as he plays more and gets in playing shape and the addition of iverson (if he signs) this could become very interesting for the knicks

    iverson
    t.douglass
    wilson chandler
    galliarni
    david lee
    al harrington

i still think they wont make the playoffs but they could get some wins and lessen the chance of the jazz getting that number 1 pick

curry playing well would mean the world to the knicks. first they would finally have an inside presence and would not get abused in the paint, which is why they defense has been stinking. second if they decide to trade him they will suddenly become the team with BY FAR the most money this summer and would have enough money for two max contracts. Things can get real interesting if curry continues to work hard. that is still a big IF but im very impressed with him so far.

I was never an Eddy Curry fan, I am a Bulls fan though, his lack of rebounding, weight issues and lack of defensive post presence always rubbed me the wrong way, but after all the personal stuff he went through, I wish him the best of luck, he is in great shape and made an impressive debut in limited minutes. He and Iverson together could seriously help the Knicks challenge for a lower playoff spot.

the thing about curry is hes never been a defensive presence though..but him being a option on offense will make other centers work harder on d which in turn will take away some of there energy on offense:)..hes also been a pretty bad rebounder

No way Curry can play significant minutes running up and down the floor like the Knicks do for 70+ games + playoffs…. at least from looking at years past.

of course he wont be playing a whole game like that but just liek phx did with shaq , who i think at this point is slower then curry, they will run on offense while he’s the last one to come down. And since the knicks wont make the playoffs he wont have to worry about that

Having Curry is huge now teams have to double because he’s tough to handle in the post.
Lee doesn’t have to play Center as much and maybe the Knicks will cut down on jump shots.

5 back in the loss column for the playoffs its still early too.
Who knows maybe Indy cools off and its doubtful Jennings keeps up this scoring clip up.

Jazz aren’t getting the # 1 pick unless its left up to chance.
The Knicks stunk it up for the first 10 games and still weren’t the worst team.
There some teams out there who will finish worst Warriors might after losing Steve Jax, Azubuike, Bell, Law who’d ever thought of them losing depth.
Minnesota is worse they play more young guys and playing in the tougher conference.
Its still early at least get thru first 20 games to see where a team is headed.

Its obvious you haven’t watched the Knicks much this year they haven’t been running much at all.
Part of the reason their offense has been so bad mostly jump shots in half court.

i have not watched the knicks once, but i have watched many d’antoni teams in the past… and i would say curry does not fit that type of system.

LOL @ the comment about shaq on the suns- that was a huge success! 😉

didnt say it was a success i said you can still run with a guy whos not a perfect fit for that offense..but since the knicks dont do that from what that guy siad then it doesnt matter now does it

All the Knicks are hoping for is that Curry’s shows enough ability that some team out there will show interest and come and offer to take Curry’s contract off their hands so they will have more to spend this summer. It’s as simple as that!!

If you are counting on curry to make a huge difference Knicks fans you are mistaken I am a bulls fan and Curry only wants to play on offense he plays no defense but thats really not big in NY any way and he doesnt rebound which is the worst for someone his size he does not crash the boards career 5.3 rpg. The other problem with the knicks they shoot way too many 3’s they got players on this team that arent 3 point shooters launching especially Al Harrington he is turning into Antoine Walker always shooting 3 pointers.
