valentineWTF is ppl’s problem?
This man just got 4 big recruits for next season…
College people what do you think of Pastner? I feel he can be a contender for future openings like Syracuse, UConn*
not saying these jobs will open up in 2 years….

quincey hodgesyou still have to be a good coach to get a talented team far. on top of them just being freshmen..these arent the fab 5 comming in,,, but im sure there will be fans putting high expectations on here before the players prove it against good comp..so far a couple of fans are scratching there head with favors doing average and henson being a non factor…too many people put too much onto what a player did against hs comp and expect them to come in to college from day one and duplicate that same play but never take into account that the guys they will be facing are bigger stronger better and faster then the highschool guys that they played against and older..its very rare that a freshman or a group of freshmen come in and just take over

JNixonParticipantI say watch out for Memphis in 2010-2011…especially with Williams and Witherspoon still there. They’ll have a good mix of experience and incoming depth.

cheesepillowParticipantPastner has always been a great recruiter even under Jcalp. I’m not sure if I should be surprised or not on how quickly Pastner was able to get such a great incoming seeing that he lacks the exp. of being a headcoach as you guys have pointed out. Then again, the 4 guys that committed to Memphis all played on the same team (Memphis Magics) over the summer or something like that, according to sportsline. So they are each comfortable with each other to a certain extent. I think Pastner deserves huge praise for getting the next class together after all the uncertainty and such this past year when recruits decommit from Memphis to head to Kentucky or somewhere else.
Oh, and hello Qhaynes if you remembered me, I’m back from taking a break after the last draft occurred

JNixonParticipantHe won’t even have to be that good a coach to be an elite team in 2010-2011….that class is utterly ridiculous. (sarcasm)
