tuck243ParticipantI just don’t understand how he’s playing lights out… I read a lot of comments about how him and Jennings are the studs in this draft… I just don’t see it… Can anyone convince me that he’s beasting right now?

lalailaParticipanthe had four straight 20pts+ games, shot with nice % , Kings winning, and looks like he is triple double waiting to happen..still big contender for R.O.Y

festar35ParticipantWell with Martin out he has averaged 22pg over his last 5 games and the Kings have won 4 straight of which i feel he has been the catalyst for. He has been very consistent in his game.
In that 5 game span he has also averaged 5rpg and 5apg something only Iguodala, Roy, D-Will and James has done.
Pretty good company right?

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHe’s doing all of this without the star player Kevin Martin.

quincey hodgeswhich make it even better since the defenses can focus on him and not have to worry about martin

rickyD510Participanthow about watch his games.. he usually has around 15 plus at halftime every game and comes back in the fourth and closes the game off
he and westphal are the main reasons that the so called worst team in the league has a winning record0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:00am #230107

tuck243Participantshooting 38% is not a good percentage over that span #1 (which was only 4 games BTW)… 2- he’s taking alot of shots and getting to the line with his play… I just feel like those are things that will happen for any player with that kind of freedom… IDK if I would say he’s doing great (more like decent)… Or going to do well in this league… I’m just really suspect on him…

quincey hodgestrue…playing good but not great sounds more like it
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:07am #230112
boffacheeriosParticipantdude, suspect? If he wasn’t doing well why are you the only one who disagrees? everyone is just baffled because Jennings just scored 55. the truth is they’re both great players and the ROY race is absolutely (for now) exclusively between the two of them. and honestly who did jennings score 55 against? the Warriors? come on. Tyreke put up 32 and 7 against the jazz AKA Deron Williams. While i have much respect for jennings as that’s just damn impressive, it’s much easier to score on the warriors than basically any other team in the league.

quincey hodgesit doesnt matter who he got 55 against hes still playing against nba players..and that game evans also gave up 29..right now it isnt really a race jennings is wayy ahead of everyone else with evans being second. if 55 was so easy then jennings wouldnt have been the first player to do it this season..how many have score 55 or more against the warriors in the past coulple of year anyway
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:17am #230117
quincey hodgesand it makes no sense to say if someone woul dhave played more they would have had more sinceno one knows if the player would have stayed hot or even took the same amount of shots that they took earlier..i put that up there with people who try to make a player seem better because of there 48min average
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:20am #230116

rickyD510Participantat this point the only way Tyreke gets ROY is if they make the 8th seed. btw udoka played deron in the 4th were Deron got his numbers
Anyway look at ur argument ur judging a rookie on his first few games.. of his career0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:22am #230118

rickyD510Participanttrue. ive seen that “what if” comment so much its jus stupid it really show peoples ignorance
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:23am #230119
boffacheeriosParticipantlook at the team stats for last nights game. sure he had 55, but the most anyone else could muster was 19. jennings only had 5 assists. the only issue i have with jennings game is that so far he hasn’t shown what he was drafted for, which was to be an incredible passing point guard. to me, so far he’s just looked selfish. i know he has the ability, and i’m completely in agreement that at this point he’s hands down in the lead.

quincey hodgesdidnt evans play 28 minutes that game against the warriors?..so that means he must have played 28 mins in the first half…is that even possible
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:26am #230114

rickyD510Participanttyreke evans had like 20 at half against them and didnt really play the rest of the game cuz the kings were up by like 13!!!! he would of had like 40! lol< sarcasm
(what if kobe played the 4th quarter against the raptors that one year) its only jennings fault he didint score in the first half cuz he played.. its different if he sat it out0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:29am #230122
quincey hodgesand he played 9 min of the third quarter
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:29am #230121

rickyD510Participanti put “really” cuz he didnt do anything he was like a decoy (they were up by 20) but he did sit out half the third and the whole fourth. it was 29 btw
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:32am #230124
quincey hodgesother then evans no other guard has scored 21 points or more against the gs guards..while playing at hime..not sure about away games
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:37am #230128
boffacheeriosParticipantya understood, i’m just saying the warriors hardly have a respectable defense and if there was any team to score 55 on, they’d have to be pretty high on my list.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:40am #230131
quincey hodgesthose post were directed toward boffacheerios and others who try to downplay the 55
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:43am #230132
quincey hodgesand to be honest denver gives up more points to guards then other teams ive looked up so far..the highest scores against them have had 40,32,30 then 25..then the next 5 have had 20-22 points
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:44am #230130

rickyD510Participantthe funny thing is the game was still close. no one’s trying to downplay it’s just ive heard enough of it.. how many people have said they’ve always like brandon and jumped on his bandwagon and think theyve proved it by writing posts on it
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:47am #230134
boffacheeriosParticipantfair enough
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 10:49am #230135
quincey hodgesto be honest i was actually suprised gives up so many points to guards…yall can go to this
http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp?league=00&season=22009&conf=OVERALL&position=5&splitType=99&splitScope=GAME&qualified=Y&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=vs%20New%20York.then click on to splits to see which team gives up how much to guards fowards and centers
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 11:08am #230148

tuck243ParticipantHe also shot damn near 40 shots that game… For a rookie that’s alot… I’m just saying someone with the ball in their hands that much and shooting 30+ shots a game BETTER be averaging 16 PPG… That’s why I’m saying I’m suspect on him… He’s not shooting a DECENT percentage either… I just feel like if his shot attempts were down to reasonable numbers, he wouldn’t be a factor… Some people just see the ending numbers and that’s it… BJ shot 61% yesterday BTW…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 11:10am #230149
quincey hodgesdamn he took 40shots?..now that i didnt know…..but im not suprised..its never been a secret that evans likes to shoot..at one point during the preseason and/or season he was taking more attempts then martin before he got hurt
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 11:14am #230151

tuck243ParticipantAttempted like 15 or 17 shots on the stat sheet and went to the freethrow line 20 times… Thats putting up damn near 40 shots…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 11:16am #230153
quincey hodgesooooh..thats not that bad then..thats actually very good
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/15/2009 - 12:16pm #230174
boffacheeriosParticipantya, dude free throws don’t count in attempted shots and don’t count against FG%
