i wouldnt trade okafor already. He has brought at least 10 pts and p10 rebs almost every night for the hornets. i really dont see the reason for this trade. I know why they would like to cut their enourmas payroll, but i dont understand why they weould trade him already. I would give him more time personally.

i think this would be a good trade for the hornets. Okafor is a very solid player, but he is not an all-star and he has never been the type to take over games. He is making like 11 mill per for the next 4-5 years. With Kenny’s contract coming off the books, that gives them some felxibilty to add pices this summer in a very deep free-agent pool. I think they could turn that 11 mill into 2 good players who can help the hornets more then okafor is. Keep in mind the economy is down and players are coming cheaper now a days.

mikenike, what makes you tihnk he can become an all-star someday? He has been in the league for 6 seasons and has been the exact same player all 6. He will give you 14 and 10, but that’s not worth his contract imo, and the hornets need help in all sorts of areas.

So how does Tyreke Evans, Jason Thompson, and Emeka Okafor sound to you llperez22?

for the kings, they don’t really need to save money and they absolutley need a defensive presence inside. Okafor, Hawes, and thompson rotating between the 4-5 spots would be a very solid front line. I like the kings making this deal. The kings don’t mind over spending a little for emeka because they have abunch of young guys that are still on thier rookie contracts. The hornets need all the money they can get, because this current roster is not playoff caliber. They could do a lot with that 11 mill. Works for both teams in my eyes.

That would be a nice front court rotation especially for Tyreke to dish it out to. With that trade the Kings would be considered more of the upcoming team then just a roll over team even though they are on a 4 game winning streak.

Noah, for example………..everyone is saying hes been an all-star so far, look at his numbers………….12 and 12, not much difference. I think that if he gets on a winning team and contributes to wins he can make it.
