The Final Four weekend in Indianapolis brought together 65 of the top high school basketball players in the country for a three-day USA Basketball Junior Mini Camp. While some participants had prior experience with USA Basketball, several newcomers made a strong impression throughout the weekend. The camp was filled with talented individuals, but a few stood out as the best in their respective classes.

AJ Williams 6’7 215 SF – ELCA 2028

AJ Williams is the top player in the 2028 class and was among the standout players in Indianapolis from the very first session. Throughout the weekend, Williams showcased his diverse skill set on both ends of the court. His ability to impact games both on and off the ball set him apart from his peers. He scores effectively at all three levels and excels on the glass. Despite his young age, his athleticism was evident throughout the camp, highlighted by several impressive finishes, including multiple eye-catching dunks.

CJ Rosser 6’9 195 PF – Southeastern Prep 2027

CJ Rosser is one of the top players in the 2027 class, and it showed from night one. He is an elite athlete with impressive size and length, making him a constant presence on the court. Rosser excels defensively, using his speed to match up with quicker guards and his length to compete against bigger players in the paint. He can score from all three levels, and his perimeter shooting continues to improve. His ability to handle the ball and create opportunities for himself or his teammates made him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. As one of the best players in the country, regardless of class, Rosser is set to compete for the number one spot in the 2027 class all summer.

Blaze Johnson 6’4 185 PG – OTE 2028

A newcomer to the USA Basketball scene, Johnson quickly demonstrated he belongs among the country’s top players. He is a skilled scorer with a reliable shooting stroke that extends beyond the three-point line, consistently applying pressure on opposing defenses. While he can score in large volumes, he also prioritizes making the right decisions and frequently creates easy scoring opportunities for his teammates. As he continues to grow, Johnson is expected to become a mainstay in USA Basketball and a top 10 player in the 2028 class.

His knockdown shooting keeps defenses off balance, and he can finish strong inside, even when facing contact with his back to the basket. Cayden Daughtry 5’11 160 PG – Calvary Christian Academy 2027

Daughtry is recognized as an elite-level shooter and continues to improve his overall game. He scores in multiple ways, which keeps defenses on their toes. He is a willing defender with good hands and excellent ball instincts. During his time in Indianapolis, he showcased his skills as a well-rounded point guard, actively seeking his own shots while also creating easy scoring opportunities for his teammates. As he heads into his senior year, he is likely to see his stock rise as he remains one of the top guards in his class.

Beckham Black 6’3 180 PG – Southeastern Prep 2027

The top-ranked point guard in the class consistently demonstrates why he holds the number one position.
