Game 9 (7th place)

Tidewater Sealants 100 – Portsmouth Sports Club 83

Alex Ruoff

The toilet bowl game ended up being a blow out, but it was
nonetheless very exciting due to impressive team play by the winners as well as
some good individual performances. Tidewater Sealants combined for 33 assists
on only 14 turnovers, sharing the wealth and getting plenty of easy baskets. Gary
Wilkinson continued his efficient play en route to 26 points (10-11 FG) and 11
rebounds. Garret Siler was once again dominant on the inside contributing 22 points
and 5 rebounds. Maybe the most impressive performance was put forth by Alex Ruoff,

his well rounded games. For Portsmouth Sports Club, Taylor Griffin had a nice
game with 24 points and 4 rebounds, while AJ Abrahms chipped in 22 points to go
along with 9 assists.

Game 10 (5th place)

K&D Round’s Landscaping 92 – Norfolk Sports Club 70

The second game of the early session was similar to the first for the fact that
after K&D took a 6 point lead into halftime it was never much of a contest
afterwards. Most impressive was Jimmy Baron who scored 33 points, and in the process
broke the single game record for most threes, going 9-15 beyond the arc, and the
total made for the tournament (16). Tyrese Rice had a solid performance, going
for 14 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds. Taylor Rochestie contributed 12 points,
8 assists and 3 steals and Jermaine Taylor chipped in 13 points for the losing
side.

Game 11 (3rd place)

Portsmouth Partnership 92 – Cherry, Bekaert & Holland 74

Poor shooting from both teams in the first half kept this game close in the early
parts, but then Portsmouth found their touch and cruised to an easy 18 point victory.
DeMarre Carroll had a monster game with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Alonzo Gee
made and impact on both ends as evident by his stat line of 12 points, 10 rebounds,
6 steals and 5 rebounds. Robert Vaden was also effective with 15 points (3/10
3FG), 4 assists and 4 steals. For the losing side, Wes Matthews has 15 points
and 5 rebounds and Jon Brockman continued his streak of double doubles finishing
with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Game 12 (Championship)

Norfolk Naval Shipyard 72 – Sales System LTD 69

Norfolk NS was dominant the entire week and they proved to be the best team with
a deserving win in the finals. With that said, Sales System had a tough road to
the championship, but they proved to be a very formidable opponent. Sales System
had a 5 point lead at half, thanks in large part to terrible shooting by Norfolk
NS (26%), but things changed in the 2nd half where Norfolk found their rhythm,
outscoring Sales System by 8, and winning the tournament. Alade Aminu came up
huge, going for 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. Lawrence Kinnard contributed
a double double (12 points, 12 rebounds) to go along with 3 steals, 2 assists
and a block. On the losing side, Josh Carter led the way with 13 points, while
KC Rivers, Paul Delaney and Michael Bremos all scored 11 points a piece.
