The 2007 European
Final Four kicks off on Friday, May 4th in Athens, Greece. NBADraft.net
is on hand to scout the top NBA prospects participating.

2006 Euro Champion CSKA Moscow, Unicaja, Tau Ceramica, and local Panathinaikos Athens will battle for the title, which takes place on Sunday, May 6th.

Draft prospects such as Tiago Splitter (Tau Ceramica) and Anton Ponkrashov (CSKA Moscow) headline the still draft eligible players participating in the senior event.

Also of keen interest to scouts are the number of quality European veterans such as Pana guard Dimitrios Diamantidis (age 27), and SKA big point Theodoros Papaloukas (age 30) as NBA teams will consider bringing them in as free agents, especially after the recent success teams have had with players such as Juan Calderon, Jose Garbajosa, and Walter Hermann.

The main event for many of the NBA International scouts will be the Junior tournament which promises to give a glimpse into the future of European basketball talent.

The Final Four participant’s junior teams will be joined by Maccabi Tel Aviv, Cibona Zagreb, Zalgiris Kaunas, Montepaschi Siena, BC FMP, Olympiacos Piraeus, and Prokom Trelf Sopot.

Check back each day for updates on the Euro Final Four and Junior tournament.
