West Virginia Gets Some Love, Beats #9 Georgetown

Lately, I have been noticing a few people on the NBADraft.net Message Boards saying, "When will West Virginia get some love?". Well, I have tried to give them some for some solid early season play, but they earned a whole lot by ending Georgetown's 11 game win streak with a 74-62 victory. WVU senior guard Truck Bryant had a game high 25 points, upping his impressive average on the year to 18.4 ppg.

The real story for the Mountaineers this season has been the play of another senior, Kevin Jones. The burly PF put up yet another impressive performance with 22 points and 16 rebounds to punish the Hoyas. He is averaging 19.8 ppg and 11.9 rpg, which certainly has him at the top of the running for Big East Player of the Year at the moment. Jones development from freshman to senior year has been impressive and he has definitely made NBA scouts take notice with his improved rebounding and low post game that has come with a big time addition of strength.
