TarHeelRavenParticipantLet’s take a break from basketball for a moment to talk about the Seattle Seahawks beat down of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos last night. I have watched tons of sports throughout my 32 years on this earth and I have NEVER seen a defense dominate a supposed unstoppable offense that Peyton Manning and the Broncos brought into that game. 55 Td’s 10 interceptions, over 5400 yards thrown throughout the year and they score EIGHT points all game. Has anybody on here ever seen an unstoppable offense just get completely dominated by a defense in any basketball game? NCAA, NBA, high school, rec league, anywhere…Also, the class shown by Peyton at the post-game interview was something that young kids should look up to. The guy is a great football player and a great guy. Seattle showed class also and Richard Sherman was complimentary of Peyton as well. No woofing or trash talking by both teams, just a great game and a completely dominant performance by a great defense by the Seahawks.

Hector_Reyes_8ParticipantTheir defense was pathetic. The Seahawks hit each-other harder than any Broncos player hit a Seahawks player. Absolutely no tackling. Wilson was mediocre on the field and the Broncos secondary couldn’t hit a man in a wheelchair. The Broncos would’ve put more than 8 points on the board if they didn’t constantly start on their own 20 or lower. Seahawks beat down the Broncos, though. Terrible game. No enthusiasm after the 3rd. Good win for the Seahawks though. And I an far from a Broncos fan.

—————————————————————————–One thing that comes to my mind is the 2004 NBA finals. The Lakers had Shaq and Kobe along with Karl Malone, Gary Payton and an offense that had placed third in the league in the regular season with 98.2 PPG. They went up against Detroit and their dominant D which had allowed 84.3 PPG during the season.
In 5 games Detroit held LA to under 82 PPG. In a pivotal game three with the series tied 1-1 the Pistons absolutely manhandled the Lakers, holding them to 68 points and 36.5 FG%. Kobe and Shaq combined for just 25 points.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantThis team is legendary and all their stars are young. Hopefully Browner gets reinstated, too. He’s a beastly cornerback across from Sherman.
I honestly think Russell Wilson is gonna win about 5 Super Bowls. This is a no doubt dynasty in the making.
I also love the fact that the Seahawks are the first team in the history of American pro sports, as far as I know, to have regular meditation sessions…and they win a Championship in the most dominant fashion conceivable against the greatest offense of all-time.
Shows how critical mental preparation is.
“Meditation is as important as lifting weights and being out here on the field for practice."

AmiableBaller34ParticipantTo the people who say "this was a terrible game" all I can say to you is this: Stop watching. For real, that game was over in the first minute of the game, but I continued to watch because I knew I was witnessing the greatest game of foorball a team had EVER played, and to me, that’s an awesome game. No one looks at Kobe’s 81 point game, or Wilts 100 point game and say "Yeah that was cool, but the game was boring."
You just watched a team completely, and unquestionably, decapitate another supposedly "dominating" team in every facet of the game. Coaching, Offense, Defense and Special Teams all were dominated by the Seahawks from the second the game started. To some that might be boring, but to me, I’m glad I got to witness greatness at the highest level.
