Mr. 19134ParticipantThis news saddens me. He had to due something pretty extreme for this kind of suspension. But the knock on him coming out of High School was that he was uncoachable…I think he just proved everybody right. His basketball career may be done. He don’t have a shot at being drafted now and he could of moved into the lottery in a weak class if he showed stellar play and improved maturity. He played well but his maturity obviously is not at the level of an professional athlete. His best bet may be to leave school and try to play in the NBDL. If he did that and played his arse off for an NBDL team and showed he can be post presence in the league then he might have a shot at being draft…2nd round. But dude may of just burned his last bridge.

the lake showHis basketball career is far from done because of this though. These are the same issues Caracter delt with as well as many other young talented basketball players. You’re career isn’t over until you can no longer perform

"More on Renardo Sidney. It was a combination, per source, of bad attitude and altercation in practice yesterday. Kid needs to grow up."
—————————
It is not the end of the world. It shows his lack of maturity, which is not surprising. I doubt the suspension will be particularly long, I’d guess through their trip to Hawaii and Las Vegas.
Stansberry came into this year with his fanbase having high expectations for this team, and so far they have been a big flop. This coming off a year where there were expectations and an end result of an NIT appearance. I think he is trying to get control of the situation with a player that has his eyes on the draft and not conditioning, the on the team or little things like fouling out in 25 minutes.

the lake showI wouldn’t exactly call them a flop since Sydney and Bost have not been playing. Two very important players

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantThe losses to Florida Atlantic and E Tenn St are the kind of losses that keep teams out of the tournaments, and their first major conference opponent of the year – and the debut of Sydney- was a 31 point loss. For a team that had high hopes, they could have their bubble burst before the conference season starts.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantThey knew they would be without Sydney and Bost early on. They assembled the soft schedule for that reason, and still lost to two of the bad teams. The VaTech loss is bad because of how bad it was regardless of Bost not playing. Now, they’ll have Wazzu, San Diego/Baylor, Utah/Butler/FSU/Hawaii, and St. Marys over their next four. If Sydney’s head isn’t completely into what the team is doing they can absolutely be out from at large contention.

delfamParticipantgoing to the D-league would be horrible for Sidney, if he really wants to mature staying in college for four years is his best bet. College is where most people mature, by taking the easy way out of things by going to thte D-League things are only going to get worst.
This kid is a complete failure, he has a bad attitude, weight problems, and thinks he’s better than he is. You have to put in hard work before you get rewarded, all this kid wants to do is get rewarded and not do work, IT DOESN’T WORK THAT WAY!, I wouldn’t touch this guy with a 10ft. stick if I was an NBA scout.
sorry for the rant, but guys like him, Tiny Gallon, and Tommy Mason-Griffin make me sick by trying to take the easy way out of things without putting in work.
