JoeWolf1Sasha Kaun has really been playing well in the FIBA Championship. Going overseas was definately the best choice for him after college. He’s a big body who’s strong and runs well, he often makes plays or alters them on defense because he such an active player. His offense is a bit limited, but he finishes very strong off lobs and down on the block. In my opinion, for a good team, he could be a very good backup in the mold of a stronger Chris Anderson. The Cavs have his rights and I think he’d start for them and their only center on their roster right now is Ryan Hollins. I’m not sure the details of his contract in Russia, but I think Kaun is the better player of the two, but with so few options at the center position why not bring him over? thoughts?

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantFor a good minute I was trying to remember who this was.
I say bring him over, see whats up. If he can provide like 6p-6r who knows? Maybe he can be a solid backup

JoeWolf1I think 6 pts and 6 rbs is a realistic projection for him in around 20 minutes or so. He’s just an active body and he looks much improved from his two seasons over seas. Cleveland is so weak at that position I think they should do it. The 6 and 6 would be an estimation for a team with a legit starter. I think he could put up better numbers for a bad team like Cleveland.

PureshooterParticipantYeah, he’s a good athlete for his size, no question. He was definitely a very productive player at Kansas. He’s the kind of guy you just turn loose to grab boards and play defense. He’ll put up some decent numbers and you’ll never have to run a single play for him.

JoeWolf1Yeah, you’re right he isn’t ( less leaping ability, but more stregth, and similar speed), but he is active like Birdman, has good athleticism and can provide a lot of the same things he does.
