Roy Hibbert

Guys ar more proven than what he did in summer league. I don’t know if Lee is a Center, or Bargnani either. Based on what I have seen I would stick with Bynum and Oden over him. I do think he will have a much improved year though. I also think Oden will show a lot this year if healthy.

D Hamp said I feel he is too slow. I think he will improve, I just don’t think he will impact the game more than those guys. Oden will have bigger games rebounding and blocking shots more often than him next year I think. I do feel Hibbert is more skilled in the post as of now. Much better jumper.

Last season his biggest problem was foul trouble and staying on the court, if he can overcome that he will be given every opportunity possible to prove himself this year in Indy.

Like it was mentioned above Hibbert has developed a couple nice post moves near the rim, the problem is his poor footwork often betrays him, if he can get the footwork down, and cut back on the fouls he could have a very nice career.

He will never have as much upside as Oden or Bynum, but I think he will develop into one of those solid role playing centers. A guy who does what he is asked nothing more, nothing less just a steady and consistent producer. Which leads to the biggest problem for NBA teams…. guys like that are usually vastly over paid when they play the center position.

lol..hold on..hibbert could possible be a 16-10 guy but you dont think bynum could be?..hibbert hasnt proven he will be 16-10 yet bynum has and proved that he could go beyond those numbers..youd be very hard pressed to find any gm that would make a trad of hibber for oden/bynum or even lee

If you think Hibbert as good post moves, you’d think Bynum was Hakeem Olajuwon compared to him. Bynum is way more fluid than Hibbert, but I won’t sell Hibbert short. He has worked his ass off to get to the level he’s currently in.

If Hibbet can get a little quicker you may have an argument but as of right now no sir.

He is very stiff and robotic, but he does have a nice touch. He wont be a true difference maker unless he somehow gets quicker and more athletic, but Im pretty sure that wont happen.

Hibbert is the typical “Pacer Center”, similar to Rik Smits in height, quickness and athletic abilties. He is a great passer for a center and very good at protecting the rim. His post moves are progressing and he has even shown a little range. I think he has the size and strength to be a good one on one defensive center. His offensive game is too soft to take advantage of some smaller, quick defenders that would abuse him on offense. I think that is his biggest weakness. Also he should be a better rebounder.

I would look for him to get more minutes with Rasho gone but don’t expect him to break out just yet. The Pacers really like him though.

Next Season I would say he will average around 10 points and 6 rebounds in 20 minutes.
