Michael.S.ParticipantIf you listen to this guy and EVER agree with anything he has to say about basketball, I can NEVER even consider taking your opinion seriously. EVERY DAY and EVERY SEGMENT he shows the world how idiotic he is. I should have been written down everyhting he has said for the last five years that was dumb, because I would have alot of laughs right now and I would probably have a 150 page book.
Today he said this "For next 10 yrs better believe I’ll take Kyrie over DRose. Much better shooter, passer. Little quicker but not as strong (yet). More clutch" MORE CLUTCH???? Holy crap, he has played 33 games in the REGULAR SEASON; these shots aren’t coming in the NBA Finals of ECF. Rose is proven, MVP and single handedly carry’s the Bulls in the playoffs to deep runs yearly. Stop the Madness.

scott3210ParticipantIt seems to me Skip doesn’t understand basketball or any sport for that matter. He thinks basketball is simply a game of one on one where one player makes all the plays.

DanEboyParticipantAgain, he says these things to get a rise out of people. This is how he has made a name for himself, because like him or hate him, you have to watch to hear the goofy sh.it he says. He also carefully words everything he says so he can go back and say, "I never said that, what I said was…."
He gets $500,000 a year to be the bad guy for the booya network.

aamir543ParticipantSkip gets paid to think like a retard, his job is to cause uproar, it’s to get you to say, "This man is retarded!" But then you watch continue to watch it to see what Skip will say this time. It really is a great marketing scheme, I applaud ESPN for it, otherwise no one would watch it.
But really, I mean today was another example that this man is either A) Told to make outrageous statements as I explained above, or B) He needs a hug. Today’s wasn’t even as bad as what he was saying in the summer. I remember one day, he said that MJ would beat Lebron in a one on one. Not 27 year old MJ agianst 27 year old Lebron, he was talking 49 year old MJ, against 27 year old Lebron, I mean seriously now? Poor Chris Broussard was helpless.

marcusfizer21ParticipantIf there’s one guy I wanna punch in the mouth, its Skip Bayless… He is the personification of pure idiotism…

Oh, who could forget that gem? This guy doesn’t belong talking sports, at all, ever.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI don’t think Skip does this for shock value… He honestly believes these things, which makes it even more sad.

frogmanParticipantI think it is pretty obvious that he doesn’t even believe what he is saying 75% of the time. I mean they have a whole show dedicated to people disagreeing with him. Wouldn’t be too exciting to see him just agree with what the other person on first take has to say. Meh well done to ESPN coz it makes me want to tune in and see what ridiculous opinion he has for the day.

Ghost01ParticipantOut of the top 7 players in the league, Skip treats one of them fairly: Kobe Bryant. Other thann that, he is completely pro Durant, Wade, and CP3, and completely anti Lebron, Rose, and Dwight.

Shanetaylor95ParticipantDon’t forget he is mega anti Russell westbrook
0 - Posted on: Thu, 03/08/2012 - 6:24pm #645423
Charlie SheenParticipantSkip is usually right about a lot of situations, Tebow and Lin for instance, he also predicted LeBron would flop in the Finals, he talked shit about Chris Bosh and when Bosh came on air to confront him he still talked shit
I wake up to Skip and Stephen A. as their banter well debates are epic, nothing compares to them 2 going at it on various topics, I mean I could watch all day
Nonetheless Skip knows his shit but he does tend to say some non sense, but he’s great for TV and brings in ratings

What The DevilParticipantYeah I may not agree with Skip on some stuff but he does know what he is talking about. He is actually a very intelligent man but I think some of the LeBron stuff is over the top. Just because his opinion differs for yours doesn’t mean he doesn’t understand something.
I agree with him about taking Kyrie over DRose…that’s just me though and I’m not a fan of having a Rose/Westbrook type pg…I would rather have a Kyrie/CP3 that runs the team and distributes….

aamir543ParticipantI actually think Skip does this soley for shock value. I mean, today what he said was ludacis, but I mean, saying that a 49 year old MJ would beat a 27 year old Lebron? Saying that the Thunder should trade Westbrook asap(I Believe he said that, but don’t quote me on that)? Having Lebron out of his list of top 5 players, even if it was last July? I don’t think anybody in their right mind would actually believe these things. It’s a shame though, cause if you pay attention, he has very good attention to detail. And Chris Bosh showing up on that show made me respect his 10 times more. Even Chris Brousard said that most guys wouldn’t go on the show cause they’d be afraid that they’d slap him on air, but Chris Bosh had the guts. Poor guy gets a bad rap for looking like a dinosaur.
And I would pay to watch Skip and Stephen A Smith argue. Mostly more Stephen A Smith, but combine the two, and you have world war three just waiting to happen.

What The DevilParticipantThe guy on the show that kills me the most is Rob Parker…swear to god that guy says the stupidest stuff and he plays the damn race card everytime

BiggysmallsParticipantSkip is definitly must see TV…in his defense though, That show is terribly flawed. They literally talk about the same 5 topics every single day. Its horrible. I personally don’t take Skip seriously anymore, though he does toss a nugget of good information in every once in a blue moon.
On another note though, I dont know about everybody else, but Jay Crawford bugs me. I dont know what it is about him, but he annoys me. Jay if you have an account on NBAdraft.net I apologize and I really cant explain it, but you bother me.
I too love when Stephen A comes on the show because I am waiting for the two of them to start fighting each other.
The Stew Brothers are idiots as well, and so is the Other guy who is usually on the show the most as the sidekick whose name escapes me.

db24kb24ParticipantI like nothing more than to wake up at 8 and hear stephen a, and skip go at it for 30mins. Thats quality, must see TV if you ask me. They both respect each other on a human level, but skip tries to win over the media which is clearly on stephen’s side because his logic, knowledge, and argumentative skills are superior.
If you actually listen to Skip for basketball insight you’ve got to look yourself in the mirror. It’s Entertainment, and he’s done his job by getting everyone buzzing about his opinions.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt amazes me why people get lured into watching/listening to this guy and people like him. Turn the channel. If you aren’t enjoying it, if you don’t learn anything, why have it on?

PabloFiascoParticipantYour statement of DRose was terrible. He does not carry his team deep into the playoffs every year. They only went deep last year with Boozer and the emergence of Luol Deng along with role players like Gibson. I’d take Kyrie over the course of 10yrs though. He has been clutch giving Cleveland several last minute wins this season. Don’t get me wrong DRose is a great player but for the long haul I’m rolling with Kyrie whom many doubted coming into this season but has been magnificent thus far
BTW WTF is the "NBA FINALS of ECF"
NBA Finals of which DRose has not been to yet
