I think last night was the real turning point for the pelicans.  They beat a strong dozers team (albeit without MCW) who I think will sneak into the playoffs.  Evans looked great off the bench and a Davis is a beast.  Anderson was also draining 3s.  If they keep it up I think they could get the 5 seed in the west and make the second round of the playoffs

I’m sorry but the 76ers are not a strong team, even with MCW. They got off to a hot 3-0 start, thats it. Now they’re 5-6. I don’t think you can be very good when you have Darius Morris, James Anderson, Hollis Thompson, and Brandon Davies in the rotation.

Based Ryan Anderson draining those treys, helping my fantasy team. Seriously, good for him considering what he’s been through this year and his toe injury.

The Cans have been a been a disappointment so far in my opinion but having Anderson back for spacing the lane for Reke and Jrue might help turn things around.

…in more ways than one. He’ll be a guy that, for the near future anyways, puts up MVP caliber numbers on a horrible team. That by no means is a knock on The Brow, who is one of my favorite players in the NBA. The guard situation is just that ridicalous- Gordon, Evans, and Holiday do not fit together at all, and it would not surprise me to see one of them traded within the next year.

I think the problem was in getting Holiday and Evans. They really should not have given up a first and Noel for him, and signed Evans. If they trade away Gordon, the problem is you have 3 people who REALLY need the ball to function. Rondo, Evans, and Holiday are all extremely ball-dominant. Plus, Gordon is easily the best shooter of them all- Rondo and Evans have iffy outside games, and Holiday is still growing in that department. So if they can swing Evans and/or Gordon for a sharpshooter, and people who fit better into a team scheme around Davis/Holiday, that’d be a much better system

Why on earth would you trade the one decent jumpr shooter of their three-guard rotation for a ball dominant PG. You don’t need Rondo when you’ve got Holiday. I’m not saying he is as good, but he was an all-star for a reason and is there long-term future at PG. If Evans buys into being a 6th man, instant offense he could work out OK but they shouldn’t have paid that much for him.

Their best bet would be to have a solid off-ball jump shooter or efficeint-scorring slasher to completment these guys who need the ball in their hands. I guess they’re hoping Evans can be that guy. If this team can sort out their identity and Davis keeps growing at the rate he is they’ll be a good bet for the top six in the west in 2-3 years.

People love to jump on stories so quickly but the reality is this team changed enourmously over the off-season with some seroious questions to answer, new PG, healthy SG?, emergence of Davis, Where does Evans fit? Give them time, god Miami got 3 of the best 15-20 in the league (then) and then went 8-9 to start the season. Patience.

Having Ryan Anderson back is going to be huge for them…The floor is going to be spaced much better. You have a big you can stick out there. (A position they lack in talent minus AD) He can grab some boards shoot a bunch of threes. Off the bench with Tyreke is a good pairing. Tyreke is so great at getting to the hoop and to have a big sitting out there like Anderson knockin em down is a perfect pairing off the bench. Plus the team as a whole is pretty fun to watch.
