WITNESS2014ParticipantHaven’t been on this site in a long time. Being a die hard buckeye fan that I am, I can honestly say I am glad that the Aaron Craft era is over. He gets away with so many fouls on defense and Big Ten coaches were even complaining about it. He averaged 2.5 steals a game this year along with 2.5 turnovers so it seems like he cancels his " great" defense out with his poor offense. He shot 30% from 3 this year, averaged 9 points a game while averaging over 34 minutes a game. Those are stats from a senior point guard!!!. His 4.7 assist this year was the same apg as last 3 years, just amazes me that he gets as much credit as he gets. If there is one thing I would take from Crafts game it would be that he plays his heart out every second on the court. Another player who continues to disappoint is Amir Williams, the 6’11 center who was a Mcdonalds all American. How can he be a junior and average 5 rebounds a game and be so soft. Next year we get D’Angelo Russell who will come in right away and be a star. That’s the one thing to look forward to next year is this good recruiting class and we still have a shot at Myles Turner.
Next years line up should look something like this.
Scott, Russell, Thompson, Ross, Williams. with Bates- Diop, Loving, Mcdonald, Della Valle, Tate all coming off the bench.
If they get Myles turner then your looking at a line up of Scott, Russell, Thompson, Ross, Turner. With a strong bench that is a team to look forward to. Just wait until next year Buckeye fans.

hbomb3300ParticipantI’m excited for Russell as well… in an all star game a few months ago he looked like the best player on the floor. I hope he develops into a point guard; he will have more potential for the next level that way.

ProudGrandpaParticipantRoss could go pro this year. He’s in the 2014 mock.

According to my media-fawns-over-untalented white guy meter those stats make him eligible for tournament MVP, maybe even president. It’s no doubt why this is done, it’s too mitigate the success of players who are actually top-tier talent.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI bet Duke adds Craft to its roster of assistant coaches. WoJo and Chris Collins need some help on the bench.
Where is Aaron Craft on the (Greg) Paulus Meter with 10 being Prime Paulus?

ProudGrandpaParticipantWell, Chris Collins was the head coach of Northwestern this year, so yes, he does probably need some help, but I don’t think that’s what you meant…

llperez>I’m by no means an ohio st fan or a craft fan. But he played hard and for his faults he was not the reason the buckeyes lost.

Memphis MadnessParticipantAaron Craft is an ideal 3rd string point guard. Probably wont get drafted but he should be in a training camp.

Rip255Dang, I had Ohio St to beat Syracuse to. Lol at hindsight :S
You’ll love D’angelo Russell. I followed Montverde and the guy is a winner and scorer. I dont think he’ll be a one and done guy either, so could get 2 years out of him before he goes pro.
