Jonathan Isaac is one of the most intriguing and unique prospects in high school basketball today. His prep school IMG recently played in two games at the Flyin’ to the Hoop tournament. Although a foot injury kept him on the sidelines, I was able to catch up with Johnathan to discuss a number of topics. Here’s what he had to say:

NBADraft.net: To somebody who hasn’t seen you play before, how would you describe your game to them?

Jonathan Isaac: I would just say versatile. Sort of like KD, Kevin Durant. I like to do a lot of different things.

NBADraft.net: What’s the main thing you want to add to your game or improve on before you go to college?

Jonathan Isaac: Strength. I think strength is a big thing for me to add to my game, and it will surely benefit my play.

NBADraft.net: Who has been the most difficult opponent you have faced?

Jonathan Isaac: (Jayson) Tatum.

NBADraft.net: At what age did you realize that basketball was something you really wanted to pursue?

Jonathan Isaac: I’d say 17, around just now.

NBADraft.net: You’re a bit of a late bloomer, how much did you grow during your recent (past couple seasons) growth spurt?

Jonathan Isaac: Like six inches.

NBADraft.net: How different has your game been? What did it do for you? How has the adjustment been?

Jonathan Isaac: It’s been difficult, but I’m just continuing to work on developing guard skills.

NBADraft.net: How has your experience at IMG been?

Jonathan Isaac: It’s been great. I’m learning a lot and getting a lot of good work.

NBADraft.net: What made Florida State stand out amongst other schools that recruited you?

Jonathan Isaac: Just the people there, the coaches and the people I’m going to school with.

NBADraft.net: What’s been the biggest basketball moment of your career?

Jonathan Isaac: I’d just say EYBL and being selected for the Jordan game.

NBADraft.net: What are some things you want to accomplish before your high school career is over?

Jonathan Isaac: I want to win a national championship at IMG and just continue to get better.

NBADraft.net: Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Jonathan Isaac: In the league.
