Zach Randolph

is probably my favorite PF not playing for the Heat. This guy plays hard, with heart, and tons of passion.
I love how he shows how much he wants to win.

Odd timing to profess your

Odd timing to profess your fondness for him, he's getting shutdown vs the spurs and can't even hit a ft.

ah perez...

Maybe you should read what the original poster said "This guy plays hard, with heart, and tons of passion. I love how he shows how much he wants to win."

- Clearly zbo getting shutdown, but what's wrong with someone saying they enjoy how hard zbo plays?

He was surely playing hard

He was surely playing hard tonight but he didn't play all that well once again. He had 15 and 18 boards but he shot 6-18 from the field and 3-8 on free throws. He also had 4 of Memphis's 10 turnovers. You can't question his effort but it looks like Randolph may be forcing it a bit too much and was almost panicking when he was getting the ball in position to score in game 2. I would expect him to calm down and play better back in Memphis.

exactly

zbo may not be playing well, but he's playing hard. I just find what perez said to be totally irrelevant to the main topic.

Saying " maybe you should

Saying " maybe you should read what the original poster said" comes off as smug. I did read it, and zbo is struggling big time and his team is losing. There was 6 months of season and 2 rounds of playoffs and possibly more chances to come very soon to applaud zbo. But to do it right now with him struggling so much is odd timing.

naw,

you were being a contrarian, plain and simple. The original poster applauds zbo's effort despite zbo not playing well. Maybe you should stay on task and not have a side comment like yours. Not everyone on this site is going to kiss your A**, k?

It's not

it's not about whether the grizzlies lost. It's just annoying seeing people totally wreck the original message and the original message was this guy applauds zbo. So what if zbo has been playing like s*it, he's still playing hard.

besides

playing hard with effort doesn't guarantee you will produce outstanding results. Those are two different things...

When players struggle, they

When players struggle, they usually get criticized for it, nobody is immune of that. The original post didn't even acknowledge his struggling. It didn't say despite struggling or despite losing he is playing hard and showing how much he wants to win. All it was was compliments. Everyone watching this series is aware he is not getting it done right now and I'm guessing 99% of the people who clicked on this thread expected it to at least mention him struggling. To simply ignore that and talk about how much he is your favorite player is odd timing. It would be like waiting till after the Knicks got eliminated to talk about how much you like jr smith and how much he deserved his 6th man award. I am pulling for the grizz and hope they come back. But I'll call it like I see when someone struggles. If that gets under your skin, you would go insane being a laker fan.

I think

I think you're missing the point again. The original poster admires the effort zbo is putting out there and his heart. Just because zbo is getting shut down by the best power foward ever TIM DUNCAN... doesn't mean that zbo is not trying.. nor does it mean the original poster cannot compliment the effort zbo gives despite not producing.

it's not beef

The site has dropped standards over the past few years.

This original poster applauded zbo and DIDN'T call zbo out for not producing and apparently that bothered perez. There's nothing wrong with what the original poster said.

- Plain and simple, zbo is trying his a** off against the best power forward ever and he's getting shut down. Get over it.

Nothing bothered me and

Nothing bothered me and there's nothing to get over. I said he is getting shutdown which you just admitted he was and I said it was odd timing for all the compliments. The fact you took exception to my opinion and and made the random out of nowhere comment about how not everyone around here is gonna kiss my azz shows that maybe you are being too sensitive.

i did

i did take exception because your response was completely off task and irrelevant. how many times does this have to be explained to you?

- just because zbo is getting shut down by the greatest power forward ever doesn't mean the original poster's message is not valid. You were being a contrarian and discredited the original message. now this is a thread of you defending your irrelevant post vs me attacking you for it.

My post wasn't irrelevant.

My post wasn't irrelevant. It's called my opinion. I didn't say the original poster was wrong, just that it was odd timing. That's my opinion. Missing LAYUPS and ft's and turning the ball over while your team losses is an awkward time to say "wow that guy is my second fav pf, look how much he wants to win". You can repeat yourself all you want at this point butunless you have something new to add good night.
