TarHeelRavenParticipantOk, that guy guarding him isn’t really gurading him so you shouldn’t get overly excited about this video. This Timberwolves team is going to be really fun to watch. Thibs is going to instill a culture of hard work and accountability to a team which probably has the best collection of youth and athleticism in the entire league. It will be interesting to see how Thibs hard-driving coaching and system will mesh with such a young group of guys but I believe it will be good for the young guys to have that discipline

For_Never_EverParticipantThe thing that is exciting they finally can stick him at SG now that got Dunn. He isn’t a PG, and has been forced to play the position majority of last season.

Chilbert arenasParticipantAmen , Lavine is not nor willl ever be a PG. He should really work on his spot up shooting and work on his absolute strength in the weight room. These videos are such a joke to me, I’m sorry. Nothing about this is very inspiring. I have my DII Women’s Soccer players doing similar speed drills.

IndianaBasketballParticipantOf course the guy in the videos isn’t guarding him hard… It’s his trainer. He’s just giving him some resistance.
Lavine, Clarkson, Wiggins, Beal… They’ve all been training together this summer and I’ll tell you what… Lavine is just as talented as those guys and works just as hard. He’s a combo guard, so he’s been working on playing with and without the ball.
I’m not a T-Wolves fan, but I definitely get excited watching his training videos. I think Lavine is going to have a very good year. He has a lot of the same ability as a lot of the star guards in the league.

DanielcmccartyParticipantNot downplaying the video. Just being honest when I say that most NBA guards in those type of workouts look absolutely insane. They are the best in the world. Anybody here whose seen NBA players in person can attest to that. Obviously not many have Lavines athletic ability or length but it’s hard to get excited over a workout video because all NBA players look great in them. It’s how well they do all that stuff when the lights are on that’s most important. For Lavine to take that next step, his game has to be a bit more then just scoring the ball. Under 3 rebounds a game and exactly 3 assists per game. If he can round out his game a bit more and continue to up his scoring, I think we could see an 17ppg 5rpg and 5apg with his skillset.
