Neville15ParticipantHey guys, I am new here, but I just wanted to see if anyone had heard about a young 17 year old from Australia names Mathew Furda? I can’t find much on Youtube or other video on him but I have seen a few of his games over here and I was left amazed
He is a 6’4 shooting guard with the ability to play the point, he has tremendous shooting touch, and a knack for creating his own shot it half court situations, in the game I saw him play, he threw up 36 points easily. He didn’t go about trying to force shots, he let the game come to him and I found that most impressive. The competition he is up against is high, he plays in the same competition as Jason Cadee, who some might remember from the most recent Nike Hoop Summit. He has also come up against recent Butler recruit and Australian point guard Jackson Aldridge, who Furda impressively held to 5 points and numerous turnovers in their matchup.
Offensively Furda is a shoot first guard, sometimes he struggles to get his teammates involved, which at times can be problematic. Weaknesses also lie in his defense which at time can leave a bit to be desired as he lacks length when guarding other wing players, which might not create problems now but as a long term prospect it could pose difficulties.
Another benefit is that Mat holds a Croatian passport as he spent some of his youth there. This increases his worth as a prospect for European teams.
Overall, Mat still has a way to go in his game but from what I hear he will be venturing to the States at the end of the year to workout for some College scouts and I have great faith that he will impress here and as a result receive a Division I scholarship. They are my 2 cents on this prospect, I urge anyone to keep their eyes out for him and hopefully I will be able to find some video of himCheers, Neville

JoeWolf1I should think before I comment? Yeah, I’m so sorry ringer, and I’m sorry you feel the need to use homophobic slurs spelled incorrectly.
