Yao Ming
I think he's a big reason why alot of superstar are not really considering Houston. We don't know if he's 100 percent after 2 leg injuries. Had he been healthy, I think Bosh would have been a Rocket because Yao's a good post player and Martin is a good shooter.
I do think that's a big reason to why no one has strongly considered Houston as a destination.
As a Rockets Fan, every night you are just holding your breath whenever Yao's on the floor.. It was no longer an IF, but rather a WHEN will it happen?
Now, he says he's back to 100 Percent, He's done with his National Team, & He's around Age 29 I believe? So hopefully these next couple of years he can stay healthy & lead us to something great.
If we are able to get Bosh, I hope we don't lose Ariza or Brooks. Our lineup is solid and we have a great bench. Budinger and Lowery off the bench for energy.
Brooks - Very quick 3pt shooter who can set up other players (ala Westbrook)
Martin - Very quick 3pt shooter, can create his own shot
Ariza - Slasher and somewhat of a 3pt shooter
Bosh - More athletic than Yao but can do the same things really, except Yao's fade away 15fter.
Yao - A bit of a banger downlow but has a VERY nice touch about 18ft
That looks like a 3rd seed playoff team, maybe even 2nd. Use the MLE and sign Haslem to have a big off the bench.
Can this potential lineup go 7games or maybe beat the Lakers in the playoffs? Rick Adelman is a great coach so who knows.

Okay, just looking a bit ahead to the future with this, but Yao's in his last year of his contract..
IF, a BIG IF, IF Yao can stay healthy this whole season & put up around 18 & 9 in limited minutes (25-30) does he demand a big contract next off-season?
I believe if you know he's going to be healthy then he's a Max Guy, but you don't.
Will teams push hard for him next year? I know it's early to say..but still.
I don't think he'll get 5-6 years from any team besides the Rockets out there on the Market & I doubt he leaves..but you never know.
