i know this is way off subject, and i know i am gonna get negged huge, but i dont give an ish about the points, but did anybody just watch monday night raw, and if you did, tell me your thoughts on the whole cm punk promo.
It was insane. I can't believe how honest he was. I think that was real because they cut him off and didn't even have the logo for the ending.
STRIGHT EDGE MEANS I AM BETTER THAN YOU! Punk is the best, EVER!
It was sooo cool he killed everybody, but im still not sold its 100% real
"It was sooo cool he killed everybody, but im still not sold its 100% real"
I dont even watch WWE and I know it's all fake.
Im pretty sure it was real. They cut him off, and he mentioned things that no one has ever mentioned before; like other wrestling companies, other wrestlers, and completely calling out Triple H and Vince? They also suspended him. Oh yea, it was real.
you silly &$#%#&@! get out
Who cares if it was real? It was amazing.
CM Punk and Brian Danielson were my guys when I watched wrestling. CM Punk is amazing on the mic.
If it were real, he'd be fired, not suspended. But it's still great. Also, for those interested, video of the promo is in the link.
Dont think it was real...I think it was an amazing work...they gotta alot of people believing...very well done
I really wante toask the same question because that ish was crazy!
Don't really care if wrestling is fake but it's still a form
of entertainment and to see CM punk punk the WWE like that was refreshing. With that being said, I think it was kinda staged just to draw a bigger audience for the PPV. plus no matter what his contract situation is, WWE is keeping Punk and better pay the man because he's been worth every dime for the better part of the year.
i figured this had something to do with KANTER! i was way off lol
CM Punk = Best worker in wwe
Damn I stopped watching wrestling but that was one of the most awesome things I've seen a while. Being a huge old school wrestling fan and seeing the unmitigated &$#%#&@! its become, its refreshing to see someone like punk break the 4th wall and expose the industry for what it is.
How you gonna knock WWE.
I'm surprised it took them that long to cut off the mic. I wonder if they'll keep him as the main even for the PPV. At first I thought Shawn Michaels would come out and super kick him.
A lot of ppl say they don't get the whole straight edge thing caz he still got tats and piercings.
Let me guess you watch UFC, that crap where guys are humping each other till one of them passes out or taps out.
Everything is scripted, they would have cut him off at the beginning if it weren't. Wrestling is in a funk and needs attention and ratings. I watched it as a kid and it is entertaining, but if you actually think this is real.......c'mon man.
Yeah Its fake. I remember watching it a few years ago and the little leprechaun guy painted a black hole on the wall and ran through it.
I don't know what MMA you're watching, maybe it This Isn't The UFC XXX Parody. But you couldn't be more off based. Do fighters lay and pray? Yes, but I've never witnessed what you described.
If theres one thing I've learned from watching wwe, and I've watched it since 1998, is that it's all FAKE!! Believe me, I know. I still remember watching the 2005 Matt Hardy comeback feud against Edge when he would charge him from the stands, and I was like: "WTF, is this real or scripted??" Trust me, everything you think might be fake on wwe tv is just designed to make you THINK it is so that it will get your attention(and, as Punk says, make you pour more money into VKM's pocket). Thats the truth.
I should've said "might be real", sorry my bad.
LMAO at NYK2010 thinking WWE real and UFC is weak!
HAHAHAHA SMH MAN, SMH....
Dude has got to be 11...
I guess u enjoy 2 guys humping around. I know WWE is scripted but its entertainment not a sport.
11 your funny lil boy.
@LeroyJenkins, All I was saying was that it is all FAKE. I didn't say it wasn't cool or anything. All I am saying is that it was SCRIPTED to entertain you. I didn't mean to offend you in any way.
When I stopped watching wrestling a few years ago, CM Punk was the "good guy" and a fan favorite. Now he's a heel? Damn.
Punks been a heel for awhile now. People who diss WWE annoy me. "OMG it's so fake", we know now stfu. Commentary aside tell me that this wouldn't absolutely kill.
I like old school wrestling with Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Macho Man, Junkyard Dog, King Kong Bundy and all those guys. It was way cooler then. Now it's just a bunch of drama.
Stopped watching wrestling consistently since my boy Eddie Guerrero passed away... and the WWE today is nowhere near close to what it was back then when Stone Cold dominated in the Attitude era... CM Punk did a terrific job on this...
- Sources report that CM Punk's entire promo at the end of RAW this week was improvised by Punk and not scripted. Nobody in the back knew what Punk was going to say until he said it live on RAW.
WWE officials told Punk to go out and say in his own words why he was leaving the company, why he wanted the WWE Title and why he wanted to leave with it in his possession. There was a discussion that when officials felt Punk was going too far, they would pull the plug on the segment and cut his mic. It's said that Punk was upset months ago when Triple H came back to feud with The Undertaker Word also is that Punk had some notes for his speech jotted down on his wrist tape.
As far as his contract status, Punk's deal apparently expires the second week of July but he signed an extension to work through Money in the Bank. Still with last night's new storyline development, sources maintain that Punk is leaving at Money in the Bank.
Why was he upset about the HHH-Taker feud?
Pretty much Undertaker has near Triple H levels of pull backstage.
The story goes that about two or so years ago when Punk was WWE champion there was in issue with how Punk was dressed, and The Undertaker tried to nicely tell Punk that he was the World Champion and was representing WWE overseas so he should dress better. Punk said something to the effect of “what about John Cena?”
This got back to WWE management and they took it as Punk thinking he was a bigger star than John Cena. Then the decision was made to take the belt off Punk at Hell in a Cell and put the match as the opener. Afterwards Punk was out of the main event scene for a long time and also a losing streak. There are a couple versions of the story going around, but which ever one is being told, the end result remains the same.
Years later he thought it would be him wrestling against undertaker at the last wrestlemania but instead it was a returning triple H
The Undertaker as he's been in the company for 21 years has been seen as the locker room leader and HHH as Vince's son in law and widely expected to run the company with Stephanie McMahon when Vince retires, obviously have huge backstage power. So I'd guess that CM Punk probably feels that their Wrestlemania spot and that of the Rock pushed him further down the roster and it's widely rumoured he want's to take some time off when his contract expired.
It was made to look like a shoot promo but Vince would have okayed him to say virtually what he liked, I loved the reference to John Laurentis who is one of the WWE's main front office men and if that was made up as he went along then it was an awesome promo perhaps the best since Austin's original 3:16. Did anyone else notice that Punk was wearing an Austin T-Shirt when he made his promo.
I'd love Punk to have beaten up someone like HBK to get even greater heat, HBK might have agreed to put him over and also I cannot wait for the day that Cena turns heel. That could be like when Hogan turned heel back in 1996.
Talking of shoot promo's I recall reading in Eric Bischoff's autobiography that Vince Russo did a shot promo on Hulk Hogan at a 2000 WCW PPV when Hogan and Bischoff had left the arena.
I aint gone front, I havent watched wrestling since like elementary school, and i dont/didnt even know who 'CM Punk' is, but...
...That was type cool
I'm in full, "what are they going to do, fire me?" mode.
