The Charlotte Bobcats should just gut their team and rebuild now while they still can, because finding a way to win seems impossible. Even if these 3 unrealistic trades went down they may not even be Top 6 in the East.

The Bobcats are currently in a world of hurt, a quick glance of their Roster shows a confused and tangled committment to winning without depth, lack of talent and no starting PG or C. For whatever reason Jordan is chasing around Jose Calderon like a chicken with his head cut off when not only would TJ Ford be a better fit, but his contract expires at the end of the year, and I think Indiana is pretty desperate to get rid of him. Charlotte Bobcats, an organization where some of the games greats are currently running the show, and doing a horrible job…

    WINNING COMMITTMENT

    BOBCATS RECIEVE
    Elton Brand
–Gives Charlotte a great half court player and if Brand comes back to hs former form Charlotte becomes an instant playoff bound team in the East.

    76ERS Recieve
    Eric Dampier
–Gives Philly instant Cap Relief as Dampier’s contract is not gaurenteed if released.

    BOBCATS RECIEVE
    Rudy Fernandez
    Joel Pryzbilla
–These two players are expiring contracts and Pryzbilla will most likely leave and find a role on Boston, LA, Miami or whoever else emerges as immeate contenders and Fernandez will leave unless he is traded, so they are a bit easier to acquire then it seems. They bring a big impact to a team needing depth at C and scoring from their bench.

    TRAILBLAZERS RECIEVE
    Tyrus Thomas
    Domenc McGuire
–Portland will be losing Pryzbilla and Fernendez in the near future so picking up a player like Thomas that could really grow from watching Camby and playing Camby would be great for them, Mcguire is a filler.

    BOBCATS RECIEVE
    Jose Calderon-(Tor)
    Brandon Bass-(Orl)
    Mikeal Pietrus-(Orl)
–Cats get their man at the point to run the Half Court perfectly, they get Bass a real oldschool beat em up type player that im shore Brown would hand minutes too, and Mikeal Pietrus one of the best backup wings in the league.

    MAGIC RECIEVE
    Boris Diaw-(Cha)
    Nazr Mohammed-(Cha)
    Derrick Brown-(Cha)
—Bass and Gortat do not want to play in Orlando and have pubicly stated that. Diaw is the best “all around” player in this trade and would be able to play both SF and PF for the Magic.Mohammed is very effecient and underrated as a backup C, he could be as usefull as Gortat. Derrick Brown has potential and could have it realized in Orlanda as a rotation player. This also opens up more playing time for Q Richardson.

    RAPTORS RECIEVE
    Marcin Gortat-(Orl)
–Gives Toronto the oppurtunity to slide Bargnani to the 4 position.

PG-Jose Calderon, Dj Augistin, Shaun Livingston
SG-Stephen Jackson, Rudy Fernendez, Matt Caroll,
    SF-Gerald Wallace, Mikeal Pietrus,Gerald Henderson
PF-Elton Brand, Brandon Bass, Eduardo Najera
C-Joel Pryzbilla, Kwame Brown, Desegna Diop

the only decent trade you just listed was the 2nd.
the first is silly. nobody is going to trade for brand until 2 years from now.
the third has the magic getting royally screwed for no good reason.

i could see the 2nd happening if there is anyone that i a tyrus thomas believer in portland

Youre saying Jordan wouldnt spend a little cash for success. The guy would give an arm and leg for another Championship.

The third trade rely’s on how much Gortat and Bass want out of Orlando. They both want more playing time and Diaw and Mohammed isnt that much of a drop off from Pietrus, Bass and Gortat since Diaw can play Pietrus’s position and Bass’s position just as effectively as both players. Also Brown could be good who knows.

I don’t think the Bobcats should trade for Brand because It’s not like he puts them over teams like Boston, Miami, Orlando and Atlanta. He is a bad contract and the Bobcats should just cut Dampier to save money…

If they cut Dampier then what is the point of trying to build for a contender. If they cut Dampier they might as well just rebuild.

Those pieces Charlotte would be giving up would not likely entice those teams. The Tyrus Thomas thing is actually especially crazy, as Tyrus is 8 mill a year to back-up LaMarcus Aldridge. Plus, if Rudy was upset with Portland, he would be super pissed playing behind S-Jacks and Gerald Wallace who play huge minutes. Plus, I think Jose Calderon would not be a PG Larry Brown would have much interest in, as his defense is pretty much non-existent. I am thinking that is a huge reason why the trade for Tyson Chandler/Boris Diaw never went down. Every trade listed almost completely screws the other team, even if they are trying to save money, it seems fairly baseless. Might as well just pray that Kwame Brown comes out of his shell, after all he is still only 27 :).

they wont cut dampier. they will trade him for a player that will not hold their franchise back anywhere near as much as brands contract would.
i think they could probably get either arenas or heinrich from the wizards for him.
they could get rudy and maybe bayless from portland
they could get jr smith for him
i like all of these options for the bobcats better than any of your trades

Their starting bigs are Elton Brand and Joel Pryzbilla you tell me if that is a contending team let alone a safe playoff team. Jackson and Wallace are a great duo but far from a top 5 duo. Calderon was bad last year and lost his job to Jarrett Jack who was much more effective. Even if that team had Dwade and LeBron instead of Jackson and Wallace I wouldn’t call them title favorites with that roster.
