Maybe we could put on this thread all the information we have about workouts for each team : who are the players, how they perform, does the team targets him seriously...
We already know GS didn't like what they saw from Perry and Terrence Jones.
They've been working a lot of big men out recently. Apparently they feel as if they have enough perimeter guys. (Hoping that means Tyler Honeycutt gets more playing time at the 3.) They seem heavily interested in getting Demarcus Cousins a playmate in the paint. And even though they are going to resign Jason Thompson, they are looking for a defensive force in the paint to pair up with Cousins. Tyler Zeller is amongs the big men that worked out in Sacramento along with John Henson.
Festus was also working out with GSW the Jones'. I think he could be in play at 30, or 35.
Vanderbilt Jeffrey Taylor also worked out for GS. Just to let you know I got ripped when I said defense isnt a skill awhile back. Its a mentality and I got screamed at by alot of people saying it is a skill. go to the 1:58 mark and not only does Jeffrey Taylor back me on this but the interviewie also says it. Defense isnt a basketball skill. Its a mentality
MKG will workout for the wizzards on friday and cleveland the 20th.
The Indiana Pacers work out Swedish Jeff Taylor tomorrow
T-Rob had his private workout with the Wizards today. He says he didn't shoot as well as he wanted. Says it was his first workout for any NBA teams. Wants to come home and play for the Wizards and take on the challenge of getting them to where he feels they need to be. Says he doesn't have any other workouts scheduled yet.
Defense is both skill and mentality. Some players have both, like Tony Allen or Kevin Garnett, and they are elite. Others, like Reggie Evans only have the mentality, and are okay. Some, like JR Smith, only have the skill and are okay. Others, such as Andrea Bargnani, have neither and are poor defenders. You need both talent and effort to be a good defender.
