Kd4mvpParticipantWould the wolves risk trading away jonny flynn? rubio will be coming over in 2 years to replace him anyways, its not like they will be making the play offs in the next few years anyways so why not trade him and make the team stronger so when rubio does come over they can contend?
Wolves Trade – Jonny flynn , Ryan Gomes
Memphis Trade- Hasheem Thabeet , Sam young , and 12th pick
Memphis get a starting point gaurd and can move conley to bench or trade him
Wolves now have the 4th 12th 16th and 23rd pick
They can now draft
Wesley Johnson with the 4th pickXavier Henry with the 12th pick
and fill the point guard and athletic pf/c needs with the 16/23 pick
or trade up and grab turner and draft either Babbitt or Paul George
and wait for rubio to come over, looks like a pretty good team
(by the way i dont think rubio will every play for the wolves or this will ever happen)

Kd4mvpParticipantI dont think that rubio will be the next magic johnson, but i dont see why they keep flynn and rubio on the same team, and rubio wont come over if they dont get some good wing players

the I in winParticipantEven though he wasn’t great compared to his pier rookie point guards he still did very well while running a kinda confusing offence (triangle). I think if they were to move Flynn it would be for the 2nd or 3rd pick which isn’t happening unless they sweeten the deal more.

Kd4mvpParticipanti dont think the wolves really have anything else to “sweeten” the deal tho, unless they throw in future first round picks

mds0549ParticipantYou think the wolves need to sweeten the pot, maybe the other way around since they would be giving up on another year while waiting for Rubio. Thabeet hasn’t lit the world on fire just yet and Flynn isn’t going to be a toss in at this point.

sheltwon3ParticipantFlynn is not really a upgrade over Conley. Also Flynn had to learn the triangle as rookie. That is tough, most vets that come to the Lakers need a year.
I think if Flynn is paired with Evan Turner. They could be a really good backcourt and then Minny will have
to decide if they keep that are risk messing up the chemistry and play Rubio if he come over.
I think next year’s draft they should trade Rubio and fit in whatever position they are weak at.

the I in winParticipantI was saying the 12th pick isn’t enought for Flynn. If I was Minnisota I would want the 1,2, or 3 but none of those teams should give up their pick and if Minnisota really wanted the pick they would have to add one of their PF’s into the equation, with other players going to Minnisota aswell.

Mr. 19134Participantwhy would memphis trade the 2nd overall pick LAST YEAR n this years 12th for LAST YEARS 6th Pick? Especially when if they wanted to they could get the same player in Bledsoe wit probably one of their picks in the 20’s…
