The8thDeadlySinParticipantI was just poking around the Trade Machine and noticed that the Wiz only have 7 players under contract. 8 if you count Vesely’s guarnteed contract.
They also have rookies Chris Singelton and Shelvin Mack. That makes 10 players on their roster come preseason.
John Wall
Jordan Crawford
Jan Vesely
Andre Blatch
Javale McGee
Rashard Lewis
Kevin Seraphin
Trevor Booker
Chris Singelton
Shelvin MackThose top 5 would probably be the starting 5 opening day if nothing changes.. Personally, I dont see Blatch or Lewis in their long term plans.. If Vesely is the player they are hoping for, I can see them playing him at the 4 beside McGee for their frontcourt of the future.. Chris Singleton could be a good SF one day and Crawford+Wall could be a nasty backcourt if Crawford can reach his potiental.
My question to you is, can the Wizards put together a package of Blatche/Lewis to get a piece to help their future?? OJ Mayo could be a good fit with Wall.. There are many more options because this team needs wing players really bad.. Also, they need someone to score.. I know they hope that Wall turns into Rose but I dont see it happening.. Wall is more of a pure point than Rose.. That means he wants to create for others more than he likes to score.. Rose is more servicable scoring and then creating for others.. Wall needs a scorer on the wing.. Can they get that this year with Blatche/Lewis??

The8thDeadlySinParticipantMaybe a trade with the Pacers for Granger??
Pacers get:
1st round pick
Rashard Lewis
Andre BlatcheWizards get:
Danny Granger
James PoseyPacers get a legit PF to play with Hibbert and a future first round pick.. Also, Lewis can be a servicable SF until George is ready to play 40 min a night..
Wizards get a lights out scorer in Granger and a defensive wing with Posey.. Also, Posey’s contract is up so he will be gone in a year..
Just an idea…

DunksNJordans23ParticipantI like the trade to the Pacers. This would be a killer trade for the Wizards especailly if they keep Nick Young on their team. John Wall, Nick Young, and Danny Granger as your 1-2-3 would be dangerous.

WizardofOzParticipantThe Wizards actually extended qualifying offers to four players — Nick Young, Othyus Jeffers, Larry Owens, and Hamady N’Diaye. So they’ll probably have at least 14 guys when the season starts. It’s not a guarantee Nick Young resigns though.

Da1potParticipantHaha I would love to get rid of Blatche and Lewis at the same time and add an all-star small forward…. I actually doubt the Pacers would do it though, becasue as of now, Granger is their franchise player. Also, Tyler Hansbrough played very well in the second half last season and in the playoffs against the Bulls(and Boozer) and it appears the Pacers organization is gaining confidence in him as their pf of the future.
Like this idea though a lot……..
