    Finally the Wizards win tonight vs the Raptors 93-78 to make them 1-8, still the worst in the league, but hey they got their first win! Too bad they beat my hometown Raptors though to get it!
    Side note: Jan Vesely looking impressive in his 2nd NBA game, he has nice defensive skills, he guarded Bargnani quite well on the perimeter when he played, 4 points on 2-2 shooting, 2 boards, an assist, and 5 steals!! All in just 16 min of action! I hope this guy gets some more PT!

     I think the key was benching Blatche in favor of Booker. Book just gives them an extra jolt of energy. Blatche OTOH sucks the energy out of the building.

     All my boys in the DC area are celebrating like we won the finals.  Is this what DC basketball has come to be….I guess it’s good for me and get some cheap tickets to watch them play.

    I am a big Booker fan after watching him 4 years at Clemson.  While he doesnt have the myriad of skills possessed by the inigma Blatche….Booker is a VERY hard worker, always in tremendous shape, strong as an ox, a good defender and extremely athletic.  I am not saying that he and Singleton are superstars but the Wiz must begin to change their culture and playing these guys more and Blatche and Lewis less will help with that because they are great defenders and more athletic.  This will only happen once Saunders is gone I believe.  While Booker and Singleton should be playing more, currently it would be best to keep one of the better frontcourt scorers in the lineup with them.

    That is what i like to hear. Washington needs a culture change. They still need to trade Blatche & Young, IMO. They do need to play guys like Booker, Singleton, and Vesely more. Guys that have high motors & work hard. They also need John Wall to do the same if they want to be an elite team in the future. The season isn’t over for them but I think they need to transition this year. trade the players mentioned before. Play the guys that play hard all the time and gel as a team. Hopefully they can draft a high character player such as Barnes or Sullinger(who are also immense basketball players) and move forward.
