If the wizards get the top pick, snatchin up blake griffin would be awesome… but what if they pick 2nd, 3rd or 4th? Do they pick best available? Do they trade out of it? Who would u draft to go with Arenas,Butler, Jamison and company..

    my choices
Rubio- I’d start rubio, arenas, butler, jamison and haywood, they would get killed on D but prolly avg 115
    trade
    Thabeet(maybe)
Ed Davis( but wiz seem to be in win next year or bust mode tho)

But all in all I hope Blake ends up with the Wiz or OKC( wit my PG boys Killer KD and Jeff green)

    3rd-Mayb take a look a monroe
    4th-ed davis
but they shuld trade jamison they r tha same team wif or wifout him

like i said before wiz best options are blake or thabeet inside guys who we need bad if we draft a inside guy and we alredy have out side guys who can shoot it give us a balance attack on offence and thabeet can defend so can blake so as for wizards fan thabeet or blake are must get. and lets dont sleep on jordin hill i think he got nice upside as a wiz fan myself i would not mind getting him him and mcgee would be nice young up comeing big man in the future for wizkids

The Nets are admittedly trying to trade for Blake with whoever gets him so that’s an option for the Wiz, maybe even get a future pick with the Nets pick at 11. They don’t need immediate help, they’ll be able to compete with their healthy squad back. Plus Flip Saunders will be coaching so that will give even more offensive freedom. I wish Ed Davis was coming out, did he make an announcment that i didn’t hear about?Wiz have to many pretty divas they need someone to do the dirty work. I wouldn’t mind seeing them trade down and getting Hansborough cause the vets say their youngsters don’t hustle and Tyler’s motor never stops, they could use a Anderson Varajao ish type of player.

I actually came to like jamison’s akward, but steady game… he plays hard, no d but is a good leader…I would just hope they get griff, and bring jamison off the bench… he would be murder against opposing 2nd team players…. I just hope they stay healthy its fun seeing Gil talkin trash takin big shots… Is thabeet an upgrade over Haywood? Iono… i called haywood a bum for years but he stepped it up last season… they also need perimeter D

How about James Harden? He could slide into the starting shooting guard spot, which would move Stevenson to the bench as insurance for butler/3pt shooting specialist/devensive stopper. Then, if the Wizards can lure Flip Saunders to DC, they would have four scorers capable of putting up 20 every night and put up 100+ per game. I understand the sentiment for Thabeet or Monroe, but those guys are projects, and the Wizards already have enough of those (McGee, Blatche, and Pecherov). Besides, when Haywood returns at full strength, he will give the wiz some toughness inside.

Obviously, Griffin is the right pick if the Wizards win the lottery, but after #1 I do not see a player more capable of contributing immediately than James Harden. I see him making an OJ Mayo/Eric Gordon-like impact next year, except he is a better playmaker and worse defender. I could see him slipping down to the 5 to 8 range in the draft because of his relatively poor performance in the ncaa tournament. To me, this is not a concern. ASU did not do a good job of surrounding him with the necessary weapons to make a deep tournament run. Syracuse and Temple completely collapsed on Harden whenever he drove, and did a great job of limiting his shot attempts. Harden did the right thing and didn’t force anything, kicking it out to wide open three point shooters time and time again. Take a look at the stat lines for Kuksiks, Glasser, and Abbott during the ncaa’s.
