Wizards

End of 3rd

*Some things that stuck out to me

Gilbert still looks good

Wall gets to the basket very easily similiar to D.Rose (20pts 9ast 4stl 2turnovers)

McGee looks extremely athletic 6 blocks at the end of the third

Mcgee looks like i thought he would- like he will get about 10-13pts 7-9reb and a couple blks

i said it before and ill say it again the knicks better watch out this wiz team is young athletic and has a nice front line(better then the knicks)

I think the Wiz are better then Knicks too

They have a great 4 guard rotation...a good mix of Sf's...an emerging PF(though I hate Blatche and feel he should be traded while his value is high) and a young C with lots of promise...I think their 3rd best guard is better than Ray Felton....And if and when Amare goes down the Knicks will be horrible...They are already a non playoff in my eyes...unless things goes perfect they'll be 30 and 52 and if things do perfect they're still only a 39 or 40 win team that gets creamed in the playoffs...

The Wiz are on the Right Track...Now If they only sign Melo and draft a Real PF for the Future...

Again I'd trade Blatche ASAP if I'm the Wiz...

I agree stanford hoops. Why

I agree stanford hoops. Why trade Blatche? And why do you hate him ScareCrow? I understand that he has a few maturity issues, but he fits in perfectly with their rebuilding plan. He is still young and can score in bunches. They signed him to a contract extension and I think it was a steal. He played very well tonight and is still not 100% with that foot. If he keeps up this play, he can become a top 10 PF very soon, and an all-star.

I bet a million dollars he never sniffs 20 Ppg...

And he 's a jacker...He Was fat and Lazy until Jamison got moved and then it was "Me Time"...I'm not sold on Blatche and advise the Wizards to trade him while he's hot...Because I bet my left nut when the season comes around he'll vanish on the bench...I can Serraphin or Yi starting more games than Blatche...He's not at all a guy I'd want to build around...Feild offers and trade him the moment you get a halfway decnt offer...

Package him with Gilbert if you have too...although Gil's an ace scorer and makes Wall a little bit better I'd lose them both before Wall's Year 2

ScareCrow, what exactly do

ScareCrow, what exactly do you see wrong with Blatche's game, except that he's a jacker? He takes bad shots sometimes, but he can really score, and in a variety of ways. He can shoot and he can extend his shot all the way out to the 3 point line, which is great range for a PF. He is a very good passer for his size, has great length, is a decent shot-blocker, and runs the floor very well.

And why do you think that he will be put on the bench during the season? He was working his but off during the offseason before he got injured. He was at the Verizon Center every day to work out. That shows signs that he is very mature and has a strong work ethic. And Seraphin is too raw right now to start and Yi is decent, but Blatche is simply better.

They can do better for Wall and Co..

I'm a great judge of charactor and that man has none...I'm not big on his game and what attitude he brings to a young locker room...Look if you wanna settle for a guy with some potential at the PF spot then why didn't they jump in the Beasley Giveaway...don't be cheap or settle for that garbage bag of a NBA player...there has to be at 1 Pf you can get in a trade that will blow Blatche out of the Water...guys that come on like Blatche did make me sick...If he could contribute like he did at the end of the season, why didn't he perform before than...maybe they'd have their 2 Alls Stars and Defensive Center(which they had to give away because guys like Blatche didn't show up until it was "Me Time"...Let him go to another Team and ruin their chemistry...I'd take 100 Mark Madsen's before 1 Blatche...Get it Done Washington,,,but don't complain when his value drops once the season starts...

im sorry but you cant judge a

im sorry but you cant judge a guys character if you only see them when they play in games. you dont see him off the court, hang out with him, nor chill at his practices or workouts.

have you been in th elocker room with the guy?..his teammates say hes a good locker room guy and if i have to pick between them knowing him and you knowing him then i guess id go with them since they do know his character. i thought you were gonna have some legit reason.

and he couldnt perfrom earlier in the season like at the end because he didnt get the time and had to adjust from becoming a bench guy to becoming a main guy on offense and i must say he adjusted very well to that role

Are you stupid? Blatche

Are you stupid? Blatche didn't put up the numbers that he put up late last season earlier in the season because he was sitting on the bench. He was stuck behind guys like Jamison, Haywood, and even Oberto, and he still put up good numbers off the bench. When he was on the bench, I always saw potential and knew that if he got a chance, that he would blossom.

And the Wizards front office didn't settle for him, they kept him because they think he can be a vital part to this team for years to come. That's why they signed him to a 5-year extension.

No

No, I'm not.

Andray Blatche is an idiot. Dude doesn't listen to coaching, is a stat WHORE and is a bad defender.

He's the Monta Ellis of big men.

EDIT: And comparing him to Scottie Pippen isn't fair to the Hall of Famer.

Blatche is not a winner...he's a scorer and thats it...

to mention his passing skill was funny...If this guy was half the player you think he'll be the Wizards would not have blown up the Team like they did...They would have rode out the bad year...drafted Wall to be the Future and been able to compete in the East...With Jamison and Blatche( the top 10 Pf in waiting like you said) they would have had a deep frontcourt and not the laughing stock of the NBA last year...If you ask me the guy your trying to defend was as big a part of the train wreck last season as Gilberty City and Javarris" you'll never see me again" Crittendon...Caron and Jamison were the best players and locker room guys the Wizard had and If this Blatche was around when they were competeing post Gun Scandal they'd all be around...Maybe they don't get Wall but they'd be better than starting from ground zero...

if Blatche is that good, why not trade him now while the value for him is the highest it'll ever be...get an established Pf and try to win the right way..."not the way of the Gun"

lol..tell me you are

lol..tell me you are joking?..they wouldnt have blown up there team if he was half as good?..lol..they blew up there team because they werent going anywhere and cap space. he was a big part of the scandal?..lol..

dogs can fly...see i can make up things too

but seriously wouldnt it make more sense for the wiz not to trade jamison if hey didnt believe blachte was good?..its one thing to not like a player but when hes shown to be good and you still dont like him for no good reason that falls under hating.

why trade him and try to win right away when theres no one pf that they can get that will allow them to do anything besides get a 8th/7th seed in the playoffs?..i know wiz fans are glad youre not a GM for there team

makes much more sense to keep the young talented pf along with the other young guys and let them grown together as a team kinda like that team out in oklahoma who could have added other free agents but decided to let there young talented team grow while keeping cap space...hmmmm that makes alot of sense doesnt it

made zero sense to keep jamison if youre going no where with him while paying him big money

And you said that he would

And you said that he would never sniff 20 ppg. First of all, he is fully capable of averaging 20 ppg. Second, he won't need to average 20 ppg anytime soon as long as he is a Wizard. The Wizards have a bunch of players that can score. I bet if he was on a team like Cleveland, he would average 20 ppg for a full year.

i dont recall comparing him

i dont recall comparing him to scottie pippen. you mentioned not being a fan of his and used his not wanting to play defense as an example so i mentioned scottie who did something worst which was to not go in a game and amare who doesnt play defense. going by you're reasoning i figured you didnt like those two players either since who doesnt play defense just like blachte and the other did something far worst by refusing to go in a very important game

i feel like im defending blachete when im not really a big fan of his but unlike many people i wont let that cloud my judgement of if a player is a good player or not. if he perfect no is he talented yeah and hes proved how talented he is unlike a guy like randolph or darko who people constantly defend even though they havent proven a thing on the basketball court other then that they are average and overhyped

And the Cavs would suck...

blatche's number's last year didn't equal wins...and If you ask around...GM's would have kept Jamison and Blatche if they believed that highly of Blatche...when's the last time Two All Star Pf's was a bad thing...He's not a Team player, He's not guy that sacrifices for the great of the Team and If your refernecing The Thunder then you'd know they have 3 top 5 Picks to resign in the next few years...Blatche and McGee wouldn't command the money KD/Westbrook and Green would...That Wizard team was built to "Win Now" Thats why they traded a Top 5 pick to the Wolves for Miller and Foye...If they felt like they were that close before, Why blow it all up...Cap...At some your going to ahave to spend money in the NBA to compete...

People get this idea that every team can build their Team like the Thunder or Blazers...They both got real lucky in great Picks(Oden,Durant) and Steals(Roy,Aldridge,Maynor,Ibaka,Rudy,Bayum and others) the Thunder also got a good player in Jeff Green by "trading" an all star player when his value was high...The Sonics got a stud glue guy from the Celtics for Ray Allen and then draft Durant and Westbrook...Not to mention Harden last year...Your getting this idea that every one gets lucky and gets 3 top 5 players in Draft class back to back to back years and then become successfulfor cheap...Not happening...The Thunder just signed KD to a big extension and soon Westbrook will be asking for the Big Bucks too...Green and Harden are guys that will ahve alot of value around the League Too...then the late teens-mid twenties draft picks they'll have to build their team will get harder to judge...They didn't get a FA because their cheaping ity out until they have to pay their guys and then what...When you some value in the NBA you get used for it,through trade or title contention, you'll get what your worth and what the NBA thinks about u...

GMs wouldnt have kept

GMs wouldnt have kept jamison. everyone said that was a good idea to let him go because of his age, contract, and since they werent going anywhere(im sorry but youre the only one who believes they should have kept him)

youre right the team was made to win now but they found out they couldnt win with thyat team which is why those guys got traded(that and money) and now this team is being built to win later once every one matures and if they get to that point and they still dont win then they will trade the players and the cycle will start all over again. every team can build like portlant and okc if they draft right and get the right players which is what the wiz are trying to do and every team cant win now so what you think they are suppossed to do?..they will try to win now if they have the players and if not they will try to build up and win later

blachte numbers didnt equal

blachte numbers didnt equal wins because the team wasnt that good.

tyreke evans numbers didnt equal wins either

eric gordan

stephen curry

you dont win games alone but all those players numbers helped get wins. reguardless how you feel about blacthe the fact is he is a good young scorer. not that good of a defender and can be a black hole sometimes( so did a younger zach randolph) these are facts you can hte him or love him but facts are facts

Comparison

There was a comparison made between Pippen and Blatche.

Webster's dictionary describes a comparison as "an examination of two or more items to establish similarities and dissimilarities <his faults seem minor by comparison>"

Blatche also refused to go into a game.

Pippen is one of the best players to ever play basketball. He shouldn't have refused to play for the last 1.8 seconds in a playoff game. But he apologized profusely, and repeatedly. He's a smart player, and he was a winner. He made a mistake, but everybody makes mistakes. You are implying that Blatche has talent, so we should brush off his stupidity; despite the fact that he still thinks that he is so good that he doesn't have to play defense or listen to his coach.

I'm not a huge Pippen fan, but for you to compare the two (which you obviously did) is completely out of bounds and has no relevance.

I'm

I'm not going to disagree with your assessment.

Blatche is a good scorer. He wants to dominate the ball, and when he does he can put up gaudy scoring and assist numbers. However, he seems to refuse to be part of a bigger system. He's not a team-type of player. The potential is there, but I don't ever see him becoming a substantial part of a winning team. I hope he straightens up and proves me wrong.
