Trade

I think with the team they have they could turn there team around fast. Injury free year next year and this could be a dangerous team. I think they should trade the pick and get a veteran player who can make a difference right away. Make a sign and trade for like Boozer or make a move at Bosh. They should trade the pick and make one final run at doing anything with Arenas Jamison and Butler. I think its too early for them to rebuild they still have a team that could make a run. But if they deal isnt their I they should take the eltirfying DeMar DeRozan.

Ya I think this is a great trade. I think they should just keep players that are exciting. Blathe Jamison Arenas Butler McGuire Crittenton Dixon James McGee and I saw a movie on utube the other day with Haywood playing with Carter and Jamison (in collage) which was and awesome game. They really brought the roof down. Trade bait(trim the fat so to speak, it’s term I came up with to talk about player that aren’t gonna get you to the promise land) Stevenson Thomas Songaila Young Pecherov if he even plays basketball...let me check nba.com. The number 5 pick (cause I'm not sure anybody's exciting enough to play with this team, maybe James Harden) Young and Songaila would be great to trade. Young could develop his skills on a young team and let's face it Songaila probably won't see the court but he could cook and sell hot dogs from the bench. The number 5 pick is great incentive for any team, it just depends on which team your trading with.

Derozan. They were a playoff

Derozan. They were a playoff team a season ago and then got drilled with injuries. Adding Derozan could be a steal to them at 5 by having him at bear minimum come off the bench and be a 6th man.

What about NICK YOUNG, and D Stevenson

Along with crittenton where does derozan fit it...I think Derozan is best suited for the knicks or the suns.. any team that runs

I think earl Clark is the

I think earl Clark is the pick becuase he gives them the most position flexability and he will contribute the most without having to score. The wizards problem has always been defense so drafting a 6'10 guy who can defend the 2,3 and 4 positions will help. He's a pass first wing that could help Gilbert,Antwan and Caron get easier shoots. I think he has as much upside as anyone in the draft and he's played 3 years of college ball so he should be able to come right in and contribute much like danny granger. When he adds a few pounds in a few years he could slide to the four eventualy replacing jamison who is getting older. But I don't think the wizards see it this way and draft James Harden who is the most NBA ready player besides Blake Griffin in the draft.

Wizards 09 draft

First off, I am a wizards fan from baltimore. The wiz have always been my team. Being from baltimore I can't help but feel a little pessimistic when it comes to my sports teams so i always find it refreshing when an unbiased NBA fan says this team is dangerous if everyone is healthy. I would love to agree, but I cant help but be worried about Arenas' status as our franchise player. He is possibly the most dynamic point guard (even though he should be a 2 guard) in the league, but that knee injury worries me considering his enormous contract.

The wiz got royally screwed out of the 2nd pick with which they could have made major moves in a trade. Now they sit at number 5 in a weak draft class where it's anyone's guess who the best prospect is from picks 3-33.

I think they will trade the pick, possibly trade down to the mid teens, to a team that covets derozan, ty evans, jordan hill etc. What they really should do is continue to shop jamison. As much as i love the guy he is getting old and seems to be declining.

Their roster is filled with guards so jordan hill makes the most sense at 5 assuming thabeet is gone, but i'm not in love with that pick. (draftexpress says "NBA comparison: Chris Wilcox"... awesome...)

I have a feeling this draft is gonna be loaded with trades, and im hoping the wiz make a serious splash by trading the 5 pick + jamison for a top flight post player preferably with an expiring contract. I could type forever about the wizards 09 draft but i'll leave it at that.

I just don't agree with the

I just don't agree with the idea of Washington taking Hill. You already have Mcgee, Thomas, Haywood, Blatche and Jamison down low. Not to mention how many minutes Songalia already get's for whatever reason. I just don't see Nick Young or Deshawn Stevenson as guards of the future. To the Wizards he's a low risk high reward type player. He doesn't have to come in and shine from the get go, but rather get the experiance playing along side Arenas, and Butler.

I like the comment about Arenas being a two guard. So why don't they take a point guard Jennings is great him and Arenas would tare it up.

I don't think they should take Hill.

I think they should take someone other than Hill. They might trade Jamison for Stoudamire and then they should draft clark to play Powerforward. He could play like Marion did at power forward when they were together in Phoenix.

nick young

Not a lot of love for my man nick young on this board... He shows flashes of brilliance at times I'm serious. He is a creative, flashy player at heart, whose greatest strength is a pull up midrange jumper. Given time and experience he could be a very good player.

I believe Terrence Williams

I believe Terrence Williams is a guy we should look at, trade downnnn, down to 18,19,20...around there and pick up the Passer/High Flyer/Defender/High IQ/NBA Ready....Williams. I sure like his game and think he would allow the Wizards to work amazingly as a unit. He can handle the rock and set everyone up, and he can create on his own. He's set to evolve just as Josh Howard did, but I just dont want him to create the same attitude about himself that Josh has allowed to come apon himself. T-Williams could help the Wizards in so many ways, and getting him later in the draft works for our salary cap anyway...all in all i want Amare for Jamison and the works...

T will and the Wiz

Nah he is too similiar to Dominic Mcguire right now in terms of skill set, size and athleticism. One thing the Wizards really need is a three point specalist of the bench and no Mike James doesn't cut it. I was hopin they could get Bosh and kapono from the rators for jamison, james someone else and the fifth pick but thats not gonna happen now and 5th is way too high to draft Wayne Ellington and the Wizards are apparently not interested in Curry. As far a big men go, the only person that would have an immediate impact on the Wizards would obviously be Blake Griffin. Therefore if the Wizards want to become contenders next year, they must trade for Amare, Bosh or another gifted big man that they feel can help. Hopefully Javale Mcgee and Andray Blatche will put in some serious work over the summer and take their development to the next level next season and Nick Young will stop shooting every time he touches the ball and Javaris Crittenton will learn how to shoot period. The Wizards could be really deadly down the road with all the young star potential players they have along with Arenas Butler and Jamison.
