JDB12ParticipantI just wanna know who your favorite players in the NBA are and why! It can be the way they play, how they carry themselves on and off the court, how they seem to treat teammates/coaches/fans/media, or their values!
My favorite player is Stephen Curry, and has been since his sophomore year in college. Even back then you could just tell he was a big time player and he was so exciting to watch. And now in the NBA, it’s even more unbelievable and exciting. But even more than his on-court accomplishments, I love how he treats people and conducts himself. He is always so humble, kind, selfless, and gracious. He also holds himself accountable for his mistakes, and praises teammates and opponents when they do well. You don’t ever see him on the court yelling at teammates and coaches or complaining to refs about calls that don’t go his way like players such as LeBron, Kobe, and most of the other players in the league. I also admire how he only has kids with one woman, his wife, and has never had any off-court issues. He is a true class act and he cares about his family and faith more than anything else which shows what kind of man he is. There is nothing to dislike about this guy, unless you’re a Cavs fan!
Who is your favorite player?

festar35ParticipantPaul George and Damian Lillard:
Paul George is my favorite player on my favorite team, it’s that simple. I love the way he plays both ends of the floor, hope his game comes right again soon.
Damian Lillard the way he plays in terms of being a good outside shooter to attacking the rim and setting up others are the things I like to put into my game, as much as I’d like to be a big, I’m 6ft and a guard.Ask me again at the end of the year and you may get a different answer, I love the shooting big men coming up in the league. (Turner, Porzingis, KAT etc.)

Rip256Something about the OP sounds major homo-erotic.
Nonetheless Joe Ingles is actually the best player in the NBA.

ChewyParticipantI watched him in HS. I was at the state tourny when he hit a game winner. The way he slashes to the rim is always fun to watch. He has battled injuries since his MVP year, which makes me want him to "make it" back to that level (or close to it) even more.
He does say some cringeworthy things in interviews sometimes. I think that comes from him answering without thinking about how much weight his words have to his teammates and fans. But sometimes I love what he says, like when he said he wasn’t recruiting anyone one free agency period. Basically saying, "If you want to win, I’m down to play with you, but I’m not begging anyone to team up." I love that confidence.
With Gasol and Jimmy playing the way they are (and Mirotic emerging) I hope D-Rose can focus on being a creator and pass first PG, rather than a #1 scorer.
Also, the HS game winner is on Youtube. Can’t link it. Technology is confusing.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantBut I still can’t take my eyes off Lebron James when he plays – especially in the playoffs & it doesnt seem to matter whether his team wins or they fail – Everything he does on the court seems bigger than life –
He is real life Drama… in that way he reminds me so much of Jordan & Kobe – b/c they ALL Polarize Everyone – & what I mean is that 50% of people tuned in to see them Succeed & the other 50% tuned in to see them Fail…. but Everyone tuned in…

JDB12ParticipantRip256, I’m not homoerotic, I’m just old-school. I just have a lot of respect players make it to the big stage and don’t turn into idiots; getting arrested for DWI’s, gun and drug possession, and having 8 kids with 8 different women. Although basketball is his profession and he is one of the best in the world at it, he understands that life is bigger than basketball. It’s admirable.

akhan786ParticipantKyrie Irving
If you’ve watched almost every one of his games since his rookie year like I have, you would understand that there might not be one player with more "how the f*ck did he do that" plays in the league.
He is the player that I have the most fun watching in the league. Right up there with Steph, Bron, Griffin, and Westbrook.
Steph is my second favorite basically for the same reasons above. (Understand this doesn’t mean that I think Kyrie is better than Steph)

ChoppyParticipantAndre Drummond – best player on my favourite team. Absolute rebounding beast who has only scratched the surface on his potential.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – So versatile can do everything. When he learns some more of the nuances of the game the sky is the limit.
Honourable mention goes to Tim Duncan – total respect for the way he has evolved over the years and still contributes at 38.

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantRussell Westbrook. He’s a dog. I love seeing guys play with that fire and intensity. It also helps when the guy can blow by everyone on the court and explode for a monster jam at any moment. Russ is my fav at the moment but Steph is my favorite to watch. He is literally like a video game out there smh. All time fav: Tracy McGrady. Near perfect swingman. Damn those injuries.

SubZeroParticipantJohn Wall – when I heard he was coming to Kentucky, I watched his ONEEnt highlight tape everyday on YouTube from the end of the school year til basketball season started. That was my favorite Kentucky team, and a lot of memories came from that season. Then he got drafted #1, and for the next few years had a lot of criticism and people saying he would never be elite because he’s too immature, can’t shoot, doesn’t understand pace, and I’m sure other things too. Seeing how far he’s come in the league is awesome and he’s awesome to watch every night
I love way too many players though. KD, Russell, Steph, Cousins, Tim, Davis, Kawhi, Towns, Oladipo, Lillard, and more are all guys I love to watch

WetalkinboutpracticeParticipantRight now I would have to say Kawhi Leonard.
Been following him since his days at SDSU under Steve Fisher. I thought then he’d be a good pro in league but nowhere near what he’s actually turned into. Arguably the best defender in NBA, who’s already captured a finals MVP & a DPOY (& although he’s no Durant or Melo his offense is catching up). A versatile wing who can legitimately guard 1-4, is explosive, can handle the ball, get to the rim, shoot it from the outside & is becoming lethal in the pinch post. Not to mention a lowkey strictly business personality that’s borderline boring. Writing this up you can see why he was such a perfect pick up for Pop & San Antonio haha.
Few of my All-time favorites: Tracy Mcgrady, Allen Iverson, Gilbert Arenas, Brandon Roy & Rasheed Wallace

ZachAttackParticipantWait, it’s not:
- Terry Rozier – the best PG in the Draft
- Kelly Olynyk – started the Olynyk effect (whatever that is)
- David Lee
- RJ Hunter – sharp shooter, better than Stephen Curry
- Isaiah Thomas – 6moy, ok he puts up a real argument
- Jae Crowder
- Jared Sullinger – fat guy, but since he’s on the Celtics, he’s… alright
- Jordan Mickey – Steal of the Draft
- Avery Bradley – Defensive Machine
- Jonas Jerebko
- Amir Johnson
- Marcus Smart – GOAT
- Evan Turner
- James Young – Splash Bro with RJ Hunter
- or Tyler Zeller

zcnumerounoParticipantMatthew Dellavedova… Now I’m not one to say that he’s a "Top 5 PG in the East", but I do believe some users on this site underrate him. He’s such an unselfish player on both ends of the court. He’s always the first one to get dirty and dive on to the floor for a loose ball and he gives 110% on defense, which is a rare occurence in the NBA.
Tony Allen… Back to my blue-collar theme… I just love the way Tony plays and how he takes so much pride in his defense (see the video in the WCF when he yells "First-team all defense following a dunk off of a steal). He really sets the tone for the whole Grizzlies squad, who although are struggling at the moment, that has been one of the most consistent basketball teams over the past few seasons.
Giannis Antetokounmpo… Simply my favorite player on my home state team. He’s just scratching the surface on how good he can become. If he can put it all together — the nuances of the game along with his physical gifts — the sky is truly the limit.

He is by no means the best player and I know he isn’t but he’s one of my favorites to watch even though he can hurt his team because of his shot selection. It’s always fun to try and emulate his moves.

r377ParticipantMy favourite player is Gerald Wallace. Yes I know he is past he prime but so what, when someone is your favourite player, you stick with them for good times and bad (when age and injury catch up to them)
Gerald played with passion and heart. He could well and truly fill up a stat sheet in his prime. Athletic, he could dunk spectacularly and also block shots. He played without fear and sacrificed his body. He would dive on loose balls, take it to the rack against anyone and everyone. He would also step in and take that charge.
This style of play lead Gerald to miss alot of games and cut his peak prime years down. Anyway, thanks for the memories….

rich.homie.mitchParticipantRight Now Emmanuel Mudiay and Aldridge
Past Prime: Steve Nash
Before Mudiay went to China I felt like he was a guaranteed 1-3 pick in the draft, going to SMU he was going to learn under Larry Brown and become a great prospect. So when he went to China he was a wild card but I always thought he had what it takes, seems like he has a great work ethic, humble guy, and a good defender when tuned in. Now Mudiay is just a rookie and starting for the Nuggets getting him so good expierence, he also makes some great skip passes.
Aldridge, is my favorite post player. He sticked around for the bad and good times of Portland. Yes he can be a little selfish but if you put the right pieces around him that team will be good.

Andrew1984ParticipantI always have a favorite player until he blows up, has all the success I hoped for, and then he becomes everyone else’s favorite player. Then I get annoyed with all the johnny-come-latelies and bandwagon fans and rooting for that player is ruined for me. I guess I’m guilty of being overly esoteric.
Right now it’s Doug McDermott. Enjoying it while it lasts!
