Who's more valueable?
David Lee, if he is at the PF I think he can be very good while not being a defencive liability. His mid range game really came along last season. He is a rebounding freak, capable of leading the league one year even with Howard in it. Loul Deng had one great post season about 4 years ago and hasn't done much since.
if he was black? lmao...
how about if he could play defense?
i think luol deng is very valuable but not at his pricetag, but lee is more valuable for his team as a rebounder. and high post player. lee is a very good player, i would give him 11 mil per and if i could give deng a paycut i would give him 7 to 8 mil
It's very close, but Lee is more valuable IMO. Deng got overpaid, and Lee will be overpaid if he gets more than 7 mil a year. Lee provides more than Deng does. Deng is a spot-up shooter and occasional slasher who plays OK D, while Lee is a big-time rebounder, shoots mid-range, finishes strong, passes well and can score at least 15 ppg.
Lee gives you more than Deng, but I think anything more than 7 mil over 4 or 5 years is reaching and overpaying for Lee.
Lee will become a top 5 PF in this league for years to come thats if they let him be a PF I mean his skill set is very high and like the other guy said if heplayed the 4 he wouldn't be a defensive liability.
Luol Deng misses Scott Skiles plain and simple.Look at his first 3 seasons with Scott Skiles and his next 3 without him.
11.7ppg 5.3rpg .8spg .4bpg
14.3ppg 6.6rpg .9spg .6bpg
18.8ppg 7.1 rpg 1.2spg.6bpg POSTSEASON- 22.2ppg 8.7rpg 1spg .8bpg
Then Skiles gets fired through the middle of the next year and Deng keeps growing as a player but while learning how to adapt without Skiles. You can see the big drop off. Then he improves from that drop off.
17ppg 6.3rpg .9spg .5bpg
14ppg 6rpg 1.2spg .5bpg
17.6ppg 7.3rpg .9spg .9bpg
At this point of his career I think Deng needs a bit of guidance to move on to that next level as a player. He is still 25 and has room to improve.

David Lee or Loul Deng?
Tell me why and explain.
