The8thDeadlySinParticipantI feel like Iggy is about to go.. As a very neutral fan of the NBA, I am excited to see Iggy go.. I feel like him leaving opens the door for a couple of guys to get some time.. I think that Collins is going to want to move him to get guys like Young and Turner more time to become his players and reach their potential..
I hope that in a trade, the team receiving Iggy doesnt give back a big time player.. I hope its a trade for expiring contracts and draft picks… Thats just what I want to see.. That way Turner can come into his own along with Holiday, Young, and Speights…
Now, here is what I challenge you fans to do…
Give me a trade scenario, if you want Iggy, that puts him on your team without giving up either of your top 2 players.. Also, you cant take Iggy and Turner or Holiday… The only players, from the 6ers, that can be included in the trade along with Andre are Green, Williams, Brand, or Dalembert..
If you need me to explain it further, just let me know.. I wanna see who wants him and what he will do for your team..

sammybuckeye13ParticipantPerfect trade (IMO, obviously): Kirilenko for Iggy.
Kirilenko fits in nicely with Utah’s scheme on both ends but fact is he just isn’t good at this point. It would allow the 6ers to get the 4 years/$56 million left on Iggy’s contract (that includes his player option), and the Jazz could get the swingman they need to get them over the hump.

nateoak10ParticipantBeware of stupid unrealistic trades (both say failed cause of Gazduric but the rule of him not being able to be traded for him is set to expire soon so ignore it, money works )
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=29uua9w
Super duper mega blockbuster, Philly also gets a GSW 1st and 2nd. Denver wants to save money, they also get a 1st from NYK
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2393hvp
The Cats have been hot for Jose for the longest time, again GSW gives a 1st to Philly. Tdot gets played for idiots and gets Brand to be big man deph and get a 1st from Charlotte
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=22pm8t2
Indy loses Ford and gets the big Granger wanted, but was it the guy he wanted? Who knows but the FO at this point and time probably is low on options. New Orleans have been after Beadrins this summer but GSW doesn’t like anything from them (actual report http://twitter.com/warriorsworld/status/21335428247) but get there man and lose Okafor. Philly again gets a 1st and 2ns from GSW and stacks up on tough bigs which they lack.
oKAY THOSE ALL WERE PRETTY BAD….

nateoak10ParticipantYour 1st trade is really nice but your 2nd is bad, Philly will hardly be willing to let Iggy go for just Marvin without getting picks or losing Brand (most likely losing Brand)

NYK2010ParticipantSome crazy trades in the ESPN trade machine.
No way are teams giving up expirings for Iggy who has a big contract.
That 4 team deal that has the 76ers getting rid of Brand and Iggy’s contract is funny teams are more money conscious now. Esp. the Warriors since they have a new owners they’ve been looking to shed big contracts this offseason like Maggette, Turiaf. They should be looking to dump Biedrins next.0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/17/2010 - 1:12am #377909

johnecoParticipantI love Iguodala. Mainly for his hustle and defense.
However if I choose a realistic trade for him, you won’t like it.
The problem is that there is some perception that he is overpaid. He’s basically a max contract, without the really elite production to go along with it. Overpaid players locked into long contracts are very difficult to trade, especially if you don’t want to take overpaid players back. You basically would be forced to trade him for much less than his player value IMO.0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/17/2010 - 1:52am #377911

STEVEDOT2ParticipantSixers dont need anything but a center an all around center. Andre is all all around player but a deadly second option when iverson came back this year and the defense was to figure out iverson andre went off then the double teams came. I can see a team like the pacers going for andre or the knicks.Being honest he wont get traded or leave town to soon we have 3 soild playmakers on the floor {iggy, jru, turner]how many teams in the nba have that expect us to go back to and up tempo style and act like the princton offense never happenen and dont forget young one of the best post playing sf in the league we can throw him at pf and speights at center. The brand signing????????? Cant explain that but we got jru, evan, and jodie after he came to town I geuss the good really do come with the bad.

lolyouthParticipantAndre Iguadola is a freak athlete and athletic specimen. Because of this he is an above average defender. He is at best a second option on offense but still complements a star well (example Team USA). There is a reason he is flourishing for, and an important part of Team USA. He is a team player, plays his role, and has played well in the NBA.
Turner is unproven, who’s to say he will even be good. I hope he is good and think he will be but hey, “busts” happen (not saying he will be). C’mon though, Iggy is proven. I’m tired of teams getting rid of guys who we KNOW play well, for guys who we think MAY play well.
But hey, I’m not a sixers fan and for good reason:
– They thought they could live without Andre Miller. FAILED. He initiated their offense and was the mature veteran PG presence they needed to help mold their good youthful talent.
– They were on the cusp of Top 6 team in the East then fell off the map, due to personnel decisions.
– With Elton Brand’s loaded contract and miniscule play, they are cash-strapped into rebuilding mode.
Hey if you don’t want Iggy, hey you don’t deserve Iggy.
He would be a great piece on a team that actually has a chance of winning. He is in his prime and plays the defense, rebounds, passes, scores, just an all-around talent. Great second option and complimentary team on a contender.
Here are just a few thoughts on where he could play. (Before you say OMG what are you thinking view my reasoning for why I said the team he should play on.)
Boston – NOT NOW. Ray Allen has to retire sometime. Again great complimentary player on title contender.
Chicago – YES NOW. Great defender in Thibadoueas system. 3rd option scorer after Boozer and Rose. Rose, Iggy, Deng, Boozer, Noah. Watch out.
Denver – Provides defense on perimeter and 3rd option scorer after Anthony and Billups. Contender.
New York – They need a SG. At this point they are NOT a contender. But hey with all the Paul/Anthony/Stoudemire talk, throw in Iggy and WHOA. Also, an athletic freak like him running in D’antoni’s system, imagine the possibilities.
Oklahoma City – He’s still young so he fit’s right in. Gives type of defense Sefolosha does but can actually score the basketball. Would join a great team that is poised to be good for a long time and make some serious noise. Already proven to play really well with Durantula.

joecheck88ParticipantI doubt anyone likes this trade but its an expiring, a good young player, and a solid center. Plus they could give the 6ers draft picks(maybe 2nd rounders). The knicks get iguodala who can play either the 2 or 3 spot. You would have to gice up on Anthony or Parker coming though.

omphalosParticipantI really like him at Bulls or Thunder. In a few years, there’s no reason a combo of either Westbrook, Durant and Iggy or Rose, Iggy and Boozer couldn’t challenge Miami for the title after Kobe retires. That said, I’m hoping Deng gets back to his best form this year and Harden develops into a worthy 3rd overall pick in the next few years.
I don’t think he needs to be traded though, Holiday, Turner, Iguodala, Brand and whoever they’ve got playing the C these days isn’t a bad unit if Brand can stay healthy. With the 1-3 so athletic they won’t need to stop playing run and gun even with Brand chugging along, but Elton can still help out when they are forced into a half-court situation. Sixers should improve this season.

yes the nuggets played up tempo but not with the 7 second rule that mike d instills in his set rember the iverson carmello jr smith combination scored the most team points in a game in recent years so you can expect mello to average alot of point with a faster paced gameI dont think new york can get paul, carmello, and iggy rember stat makes 20 mill a year…I qestioned that about the signing hes good but he isnt a lebron the knicks payed for skill set instead of skill level because he doesnt dominate like a lebron or wade but he makes more $$$ because him and blake griffin or about the only pf in the league with the explosiveness and ball handling ability in the league and stat is more proventhen blake

NYK2010ParticipantNo way should the Knicks give up on a shot at Mello, they are probably the favorite or in the top 2 to land him now.
Iggy is a nice player but not a franchise player not sure I’d give up Randolph for him, also they need Turiaf’s size in the paint. Nocioni & Iggy would put them over the salary cap not sure Walsh would do that.0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/17/2010 - 7:06pm #378677
