Not trying to sound like a Homer, but it’s been mentioned that if the Rockets could trade Martin, Battier, Patterson, & Jefferies/Hill for ‘Melo & Smith it’d work out great for both teams.
JR could backup Lee as the 6th man & supposebly Rick has a history of getting the best out of questionable players. (See Bonzi & Ron most recently)

Magic aren’t trading Carter to Denver unless they’re getting Melo back.

I see him being a great fit next to ‘Reke and Cousins in Sac. penetrating scoring combo guard in Evans, big dominant post scorer in Cousins, I just see an explosive shooting/slashing 2 guard like JR would be a perfect fit. Send Denver something like Cisco & Donte Greene for him. thoughts?
