Who does Deshawn Thomas remind you of?
Less athletic Anthony Bennett!?
David West
This type of scoring translates to the league. I think he can play SF
Poor mans Bosh with better range.
Also I have been hearing a lot of Antwan Jamison comparisons...if he can be a left handed Jamison he will make some team very happy.
Mike Dunleavy Jr. He is not a PF.
skills. He has a really quick release underneath as well as from the outside. His left hand is ridiculous.
Who says a completely one handed player can't produce. Jeremy Lin, James Harden, Shabazz and DeShaun.
Chuck Person and Adam Morrison also.
Rodney Rogers
not the young version with the tip dunking ability.
I went to high school in indiana and I have watched him and kept track of him since he was a sophomore at Bishop Luers. He averaged something like 30 points and 15 rebounds a game his senior year. He was a DOMINANT scorer and rebounder especially on the offensive glass. The guy lived off putbacks. Every once in a while he would drift out to shoot threes so I was worried he wouldn't make the next step. I thought he was too small for the 4 and not skilled enough for the 3. He has done nothing but improve each year and now I'm convinced he can at least be a spark plug kind of instant offense role player off the bench.
I personally see an Al Harrington type of player. Idt he can be a 20 and 10 player like Jamison but I could see 15 and 6 off the bench like Al.
I don't think Thomas has the athletic ability to ay in thw NBA. At 6'7 he can barely dunk and he's slow as &$#%#&@!. I can't see him doing anything at the NBA level. He does have a good shot and a high skill level but he can't handle the the ball for &$#%#&@!. He's simply not a NBA player.

He's getting drafted.
Question is 1st round or 2nd.
He reminds me a lot of a young Paul Pierce in terms of scoring instincts, physical build, decent athleticism but incredible effectiveness. Both players arn't perfect in every area of the game but it when comes to putting the ball in the bucket they can do that for days. Also their college developments and stats are extremely similar with both averaging 20.3 ppg and 6.8 rpg during their junior seasons.
Pierce was a lot more athletic than Thomas at the same age. He owned an elite first step. He was a slasher/shooter while Thomas is just mainly a shooter. Pierce hasn't gotten his due for his defense throughout his career but he was a very good defender with excellent lateral quickness. Thomas projects as a defensive liability.
Paul Milsap with range? lol, I mean this guy has skill and another guy that also comes to mind is Carl Landry, but Thomas looks like he can play the three as well.
Sometimes a guy isn't a second coming of anybody, he's his own unique once in a lifetime sort of guy. I mean, has anybody ever seen anybody like Manu before Manu? Dirk? Somtimes guys are unique and have a skill set and game we've never seen before.
The only thing that holds him back from being a 3 is that he's not able to create off the dribble very well, and in that sense he's sort of like Marcus Morris as well, a guy who can stretch the floor but play more like a big overall.
Quincy Pondexter.. Both extremely opportunistic scorers.. Thomas may have a tad bit more explosiveness, but not much..
