we all know if lebron goes to the heat they can only sign other players for the min. so would they be better of filling the roster with role player with the rest of their money or going with lebron and having those guys play with a bunch of scrubs.

    pg- min contract FA
    sg- wade
    sf- lebron
    pf- bosh
    c- min contract FA
    bench- rookie second round picks

    or

    pg- chalmers
    sg- wade
    sf- mike miller
    pf- bosh
    c- haywood
    6th man- beasley

You’d have to think there’d be plenty of good veterans willing to jump on board for a championship run. LeBron, Wade and Bosh trumps that other team by far.

First one. I don’t think their bench will be a bunch of rookies. Guys will sign with them just to win a ring. Jason Williams signed last year in Orlando for the minimum and did a nice job. I’m just not sold on the second team. I’d rather take my chance on having 2 of the top 3 guys. The 2nd team is more balanced, but chalmers had a hard time beating out arroyo last year, Mike Miller is afraid to shoot and Beasley was very underwhelming.

i tend to agree with these guys the 1st team would get veterns to sign but the second team could be pretty good but i dont want mike miller i want ray allen.

I love Ray Ray too but C’Mon…Miller is a better fit…And the first would get Shaq or Derek Fisher to hop on board but what other vets are out there…I don’t see lined up around the corner….Brad Miller?? Bruce Bowen??? Pg???

but im not sold on miller, and ray allen can still stroke it, with wade and bosh they need someone to spread the floor and from what ive seen of miller, while he rebounds better i dont think he shoots it as well (or as often) and he doesnt even plays quite as well defensively. i do see what your saying becasue he doesnt need as many shots, rebounds, and is bigger but ill still take ray.

there will be a lot of veterens willing to cut their paycheck to win a championship. Juwan Howard for sure, larry hughes, trenton hassel, maybe a guy like anthony johnson or anthony carter?, or even nazr muhammed

A team with LeBron is better than a team without him. A team can find minimum level signings who can do what Brendan Haywood and Mike Miller do, but those two cannot come close to approaching what LeBron does.
