Which Combo Will Be Better
yeah Drummond for example could have as high if not higer ceiling in this draft than AD..
BUT Cousins ceiling is amazing too, nearly everyone believe he could score 30 if he reach it..he has all the physical tools Andre has only not the overall athleticism but he is very very quick too..and DeMarcus touch is far superior with his jumpshot handles post game and range up to 3point line
I was big on Monroe since G-town (didn't play with a PG who was willing to get him the ball) so I will say them even though I have not liked much of what I have seen from Drummond (too much fading away). I dont think that cousins can play with your typical PF like Robinson and I think that Robinson might be wound too tightly to mesh with him. With Cousins I think I would rather have a three point shooting specialist like FRYE or Anderson or Bargnani, to stretch the floor. Unless robindson gets better at shooting, I think they will have trouble b/c they both want to play in the same spot.
Irving is a lot better than Wall right now so you have to go with that duo. But I also think that Waiters will be better once he cools out. Both him and Beal are just forcing everything (trying to justify their draft position??) in summer league and as a result have poor numbers. Waiters has a better handle so I like him.
Im saying Meyers Leonard and Damian Lillard. haha. No doubt will be better than AD and Rivers in NOLA. Not related but got me thinking. Lillard is gonna be a stud. Leonards potential is great also. And those 2 guys are very mature for rookies. Their interviews after these SL games have been great.
But ima go Wall/Beal and if potential is reached (which is a dumb thing to factor in on these things) im still going cousins/t-rob. I think if you compare cousins to monroe, cousins is so much smoother offensively and he still boards as well as monroe. And I also think there is a difference between potential and hype. I think Drummond has more hyped potential than actual potential. He can run and jump so everyone assumes he has mad potential. Yes hes 19 but none of these other bigs we are talking about are over 22. not a huge discrepancy. And T-rob will be solid at worst, he plays harder than Drummond is meaner than drummond, cares more than drummond and is no schlub athletic.Dude is gonna be a beast IMO.
I think Drummond and Monroe can both be All Stars at the same time, T-Rob to me is more on the Milsap level at best....just not quite that All Star.
Definitely Wall and Beal at the guards. Kyrie and Waiters, not sure how that combo works out....a dribble heavy guy and a SG who may not be best suited off ball. Kyrie hasnt had the best of luck with health either. Wall is already spectacular, just needs some good players to play with....Beal is a start, a solid guy who wont "lose" games for you.
Its funny because I think that Cousins and T-Rob are so physical, that with the right guys around them, they likely will have more team success. The more talented combo is Drummond/Monroe. Also, Irving and Waiters will likely avg more PPG than Wall and Beal....but Wall and Beal will be better all around and will average a lot more rebounds and assists as a duo.
