I know mocks are kind of meaningless right now but damn this guy has been killing it the last few games and really all season. Season averages of 16.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.0 apg, .9 bpg, 2.3 spg 50% fg, 39% 3pt, 76% ft. Last three games versus Cincy, UConn, Rutgers went for 23, 29, 27 respectively. And has Marquette up to #10 in the country.

As a late second rounder I feel this guy is gonna be a steal. You know what youre gonna get everynight with him. Hes built like a bull, will give you a lot of hustle and energy plays off the bench and can step back and knock down those 20 footers. If Jimmy Butler and Lazar Hayward can go first round, no reason he shouldnt get drafted.

I hope he keeps it up thru the tourney so people get more chances to see him play. He was everywhere in that UCONN game.

Yeah the UConn game was the best I seen him play in his two years at MU. He was beating guys to spots, taking charges, knocking down contested jumpers and a 4 point play. Plus he made Drummond look pretty bad even though hes got a good 6 inches on him.

I like Jae Crowder (one of my favorite college ball players), but I don´t really see how his game will translate to the NBA. His jumpshot is not good enough to play him on the perimeter and too small for a post position. I do hope that he get´s drafted, because he deserves a change (especially in the light of the duds that have been drafted before), but I don´t see him having a really successful NBA career.

Crowder, Mike Scott, Royce White, Bernard James… they’ll be there come June. It isn’t something to get worked up over.

Nik Vucevic and Jimmy Butler didn’t get buzz last February either.

i really like bernard james, i wouldnt be surprised if miami took him with their late 1st round pick..he’s exactly what they need..the only downside to him is his age, which i believe is 26…

Yes he has and he’s another playe I argued with people on these boards with relentlessly who said that Faried couldn’t score and he was just like Reggie Evans and Faried was too small to be effective in the NBA and so forth.  I’d love to see where all them Faried doubters are now.  I don’t really know how you go back and find older post and I’m too lazy to do it manually I wish there was some sort of old post search engine on this site.

And I thought I was the only one who recognized how similar Crowder and Faried look and they play with the same restless motor too watching them on the same team would be terrifyingly beautiful.

Jae Crowder is nothing like Kenneth Faried. Crowder can shoot it and the ball on the floor. Faried is just a guy who will occassionally get free for a dunk. He is well below 50 percent on non-dunks. Where is that comparison coming from?

Jae Crowder is a straight up beast. He doesn’t have ideal physical characteristics for a 3 as he’s built like a 6’6 PF, but I think he can play the 3 because of his passing, ability to shoot and defensive ability. He’s not getting much love from draftniks because he’s a former juco player and is being labeled (mistakenly imo) as an undersized PF. He can shoot, pass, is a very intelligent player and he’s tough as nails. He fits a team like the Bulls to a T. I personally don’t think it’d be a reach to grab him late first.

Woah who said Crowder played like Faried?  I mentioned that they look alike because of their dreads and the frantic pace they play.

But year they play nothing atlike at all and not even the same position I actually think Crowder will be a solid wing in the league.  He can’t shoot as well as Mathews but he can do everything and defensively he should be able to stick with most 2guards.
