There current teams are not going to place a qualifying offer in, so where do these two end up? I would love to see either as a member of Pacers.

The Celtics looks like they are trying to make another run at it. So they will be going after these two pretty hard. I honestly want it blown up it is time.

The Celtics were one win away from the NBA Finals, with Allen suffering from bone spurs in his ankle and Pierce with a sprained knee. Why would you want to blow it up instead of just adding some more youth around the core?

personally, i wouldnt want them to go after OJ Mayo evne with the rumored deal he was headed there via trade for Ray Allen. dont think he would want to go to Boston as well if he’ll be a 6th man again and i want Avery Bradley to continue being their starting shooting guard. this guy has MIP potential next season if he just continues on his play when he got used to being the starting 2 guard. great defensive player who was no slouch on offense.

Hickson on the other hand is a different story. think he would mesh well with Rondo on the court and would have a great player, future HOF in Garnet ahead of him to teach him the proper way to play the game. if KG and Doc can develop Hickson to even be the KG of the celtics last year, then it would be a great addition. make that 15 to 20 foot jumper automatic, play team and indivdual defense well, move without the ball, give strong picks, and pop or roll each time and be an option for the ball to be passed to.

I hope somehow the Wolves can go after Mayo cause I think instead of signing Beasley. Go after Mayo then start him at 2 with Rubio at the backcourt then they could move Wes at the 3 spot so that he won’t play out of position anymore then have Chase come off the bench to back either Mayo or Wes. Also I think Adelman could use him well plus Mayo still has a lot of potential with him. IMO.

    Starting lineup:

    PG:Rubio/SG:Mayo/SF:Wes/PF:Love/C:Pekovic

    Key Reserve:

    Ridnour(PG),Chase(SG/SF),D.Williams(SF/PF)

How about trading Love for him?

The Pacers have wanted Mayo for the past couple seasons. I could see them offering him something.

Mayo: i would like to see him go to a team thats not being talked about, the Clippers

    Paul – Mayo – Butler – Griffin – Jordan

    Bledsoe – Leslie – Odom / Gomes – Odom / Thompkins – free agent

Hickson: I would like to see him in San Antonio, i feel like he can learn a lot from a guy like Timmy and can play next to him

    Parker – Green – Leonard – Hickson – Duncan

    Neal – Ginobili – Jackson – Blair / Bonner – Splitter / Bonner

I’m guessing Mayo will end up in Boston or Indiana.  As a Bucks fan, I hope we at least inquire about him even though I know we won’t be able to sign him…

I still feel the Bulls should go after him, even if they have Rip Hamilton (who is getting up there in age) . I think he compliments Rose’s game well and I hear they are pretty good friends.

I think Mayo might be a better fit for Toronto than Steve Nash. Don’t get me wrong, Nash can still play, but I wanna see Nash on a playoff team. Mayo would be aloud to play the point like he wants to, and would give the Raptors a good on the ball defender that they lack. I know it’s not the likliest scenario, but i think it would be a good fit.

    Mayo

The way I see it, the teams that will make a good run at him are the Bulls, Pacers, Timberwolves, and Clippers.

They are all playoff teams (TWolves with a healthy Rubio+Mayo may be) that need a SG and they’re relatively young meaning he can grow in the system with them and pretty much play 4-7 years there.

I would love to see him on the Bulls though, him and Derrick Rose make for a scary offensive back-court.

    Hickson

The Lakers are going to take a look at him but he can make money elsewhere.  Dallas, Golden State, Magic and the Bucks may try to grab him.

I’d be extremely surprised if the Bucks went after another power forward.  Pretty sure they’re trying to trade one or two of them as is.

if theres mutual interest, i can see him signing in Brooklyn, with or without Deron Williams. Phoenix is another team in dire need of a shooting guard but word out is that they want Eric Gordon much more and rightfully so. think Dallas is another team will make a run for him if they strike out on Deron Williams. im sure Orlando will also be very eager to have him but without any cap space, they wont have the ability to pay him the money he wants unless they deal Howard early in the off-season and create the cap space that way, highly unlikely though.

I see Mayo going to Boston, Minny, or Indiana. As for Hickson…that’s a lot harder because quite a few teams are overstocked with PFs. But I’m thinking maybe Brooklyn or New Orleans? I like that SA idea too, but they have quite a bit of $ tied up already & Duncan will have a huge cap hold so I’m not sure they could offer him much.

Mayo, a celtic in a 3 guards rotation, ray allen replacement, spark plug off the bench.

Suns, they actually have no SG, nobody who can create his own shot and a lot of money.

    Clippers, pacers, blazers, wolves.

Hickson, coud be an athletic upgrade for the spurs, nets have nodody under contract inside(if they keep D-will, he could be a decent receiver).

My feeling, bobcats, they need scoring inside, they passed on robinson, he’s a fit, keep losing…with style(15-9 in april).
