inbedwithyomamaParticipantIn David Aldridge’s recently posted mock draft, he puts Drummond at………..#16 to the Rockets?? Let’s face it. This guys all over the board lately. Where do you see him ending up? I’m gonna go out on a limb and say, despite what you may think, that he goes #5 to the Sacramento Kings(for 2 reasons: a) because, last I checked, he’s the highest ranked guy that the Kings have actually worked out, and b) that would definitly be a guy the Rockets would covet if that trade with Houston actually goes through tommorow.) But what do you guys think?

lalailaParticipantall i can say you have to be crazy to get him that low..interesting what David wil be saying when in 3yrs Andre will be AT LEAST top5 player in this draft…
you won’t get guy out of lottery with the ceiling of D12 and worst case of DeAndre Jordan

Codyb1701Participanti have no idea what number he goes as but i think he ends up in either Houston by them trading picks to the spot or in Orlando in a Howard trade.

machu46ParticipantIn my mock draft, I had him going #3 to the Wizards just because I think that would be the perfect situation for him to learn behind a couple of professionals like Nene and Okafor, but realistically, I think he ends up #5 to the Rockets, #6 to Portland, or #9 to Detroit.

ReactionParticipantMy heart wants to say Detroit but more realistically he ends up in #7 with GSW or #8 with Toronto.

cycloParticipantThey could draft him, but the Warriors consider Drummond a risk and are looking at more skilled players at the wing position. They believe their primary need is at SF, but would consider another SG in this SG-deep draft if the SF they want isn’t available. Personally, I think the 6’7" Terrence Ross would be a good fit for them as Ross and 6’7" Klay Thompson would be interchangeable parts at SG and SF.
One thing’s for sure. The Warriors can’t afford to blow this one.

RafterParticipantI thought DA made a mistake but no, he was serious, i’d be amazed if he slipped that far, maybe some GMs are scared of him, but to fall out of the lottery given the amount of hype he has recieved, his physical attributes and potential he has just seems absurd. If this draft was done ten years ago, he’d be a top two pick due to the rarity of what he brings is pretty extraordinary, okay, he didn’t dominate in college but for a young guy to possess some of the things he has already at a tender age is such a gift that is screaming out for some refinement and shaping.
I think it’s going to be really fun to watch his development, will he become dominant? how quickly? or will he go the other way and struggle to find minutes? or will he be just a solid player and be talked as a guy that could’ve been incredible but never was?
He’s certainly a guy i’d take a gamble on, to protect and make others believe in the pick, i’d provide the best coaching available and ease him in, to much too soon could damage him. Understandtably, my job would be on the line with the pick but i’d be prepared for the axe if Drummond didn’t pan out because of the buzz he could bring.

F_DA_POParticipantI never really knew much about David Aldridges basketball analysis, but I just lost all respect for him with his latest mock. There is no way Drummond falls past 7. I feel that’s exactly where he will go too, but could easily see him going #6.

WizardofOzParticipantLOL DA is nuts. Drummond will get drafted anywhere from 2-7.
