Opt out of his contract, and beg to sign with the Spurs for the $1M exception so he can win more rings.

He’ll make a good rotation player – he, Diaw and Kawai can split up the forward minutes.

I mean, seriously? Adding Carmelo Anthony? Is everyone on drugs? Don’t they get it – insanity is doing more of the same when it isn’t working.

I mean The Spurs are doing it to the Heat throwback, old-school, Wooden-style and shit. They’re like a college team – no stars, no egos, just ballin;.!

The Spurs are playing with amazing energy and their bench is full of players in their prime. They have played hard almost every single play of the series. Their defensive rotation is outstanding.

On the other hand, the Heat’s bench is full of older/over the hill players and their starting lineup looks worn out. Adding depth and any help at every position is a must for the heat, whether it’s superstars or younger role players.

It’s that the Heat team model has met its match in the Spurs team model.

It isn’t by accident that the Spurs are playing well. It starts at the Pop – I mean top.

Great lesson for young people about unselfish team work, putting your ego aside for the good of the team and eschewing excessive publicity-seeking.

It goes to show you, even if you are in a small market, if you have the right management, you can be successfull in this league

Not only does it start with Pop as a coach, but also as the president. The only guys that are ever brought in, are guys that fit the system. The reason that he can play nine guys in the finals is because they all fit his system. The biggest irony is that when they put the big 3 together, it was supposed to be about no egos, equal opportunity, and ball movement. Sounds exactly like the SAS. What I find most interested is that if the Heat currently have 4 HOF’s on their team; they were drafted 1-James, 4-Bosh, 5-Wade, and I think Allen went 4/5. The SAS have 3 HOF’s and were draft 1-Duncan, 25ish-Parker, 60th?-Ginobilli. Its incredible how long they’ve been good for with a team full of mid/late 1st rounders and second rounders. Popovich is an absolutely genius. I expect this series to be done on Sunday. This series is no longer about the 3 top dogs of Miami — but rather about the band of 12 that SAS marches out there every nite. Riles and Spo really need to go back to the drawing board at the end of the season. I don’t think they wanna win a championship next year just because Duncan retires (which I do see happening). I think they wanna win a championship knowing that they are undoubtedly the best team in the league. Right now, they’re not.

Well the heat have won 2 championships the last 3 years so obviously their egos haven’t hindered them too much.

Go back to Cleveland.  Get Carmelo on board.

Kyrie, Waiters, Carmelo, LeBron, Embiid, and obscure Ohio State ballers (e.g., Aaron Craft) can get the Cavs a ring.

Andy V, Anthony Bennett, Tyler Zeller, young wing players, and future picks might be a decent deal for Carmelo.

If LeBron wants to "pass" Jordan it seems like he would need at least one three-peat.  Unless LeBron and the Golden Girls can win three straight, it looks like LBJ won’t get his 3Peat in Miami.

Then his best shot is going back to Cleveland with those young guards and their top pick this year.  Then he becomes the hometown hero who comes back home and wins a few titles.  That would be a GREAT narrative.
