ReckanizeParticipantThe Raptors are an extremely talented team but lack that force of a wing player or guard that can score at will. Sure they have knock down shooters like Anthony Parker and Jason Kapano but heck, having Anthony’s sister Candice would scare some teams. Aquiring a player like Jason Richidarson (traded to Suns, see News link) would have pushed the Raptors to the next level in the Eastern Conference. So simply, the Toronto Raptors need a threat who doesn’t play the post.

Evan_MilbergParticipantThe Raptors are good down low with Bosh and O’Neal (injury prone as he may be), but as far as perimeter SCORERS, they don’t have much to offer. Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon are respectable, but they could stand to upgrade. If they don’t do it by the trade deadline, they could wait for the draft and get a guy like Chase Budinger, Wayne Ellington, or Gerald Henderson.

salum22Participantthe raptors just need a bench that can play strong defence that would help them in my opinion some one like raja bell couldve have helped this team not in a big way but it is a step.

CordellHatleyParticipantThey need a quality scorer at the Two-Guard position. Toronto does not need as much work as people may think. They have the nucleus of a good team. They just need an athletic guard to roam the perimiter. A player like Chase Budinger or Demar DeRozen would do the city of Toronto wonders….

CoherentParticipantI agree, they need pure athletes. Most players that come over from europe are not athletic, but have good basketball intangibles and IQ’s, having someone like DeRozan or Budinger is perfect. Also the sf is an issue, kapono and graham have been splurging minutes, earl clark may be a good pick if he drops.

DarswishParticipantThe Raptors have a weak bench.. They def made a big mistake signing kapono to that contract, hes inconsistint. But the big issue for the raptors is they need a good shooting guard, yeah parkers doing decent, but hes getting older and older and losing some of his step.. they need to draft demar.

derekmorristhe raptors are solid at the 1, 4, and 5. But are only okay at the 2-3. Both positions are played by shooters, or people who think they can. Which is okay, you need some shooters, but they need someone who can take it to the basket and score like that. Graham fits the role but he isnt always aggressive going to the hoop, when he is, he’s great, when he doesnt, its like having a ghost on the floor. So, i just think they need a 2 or 3 that drives and can play some perimeter defence, not an all star, but someone who will fit the role.

L.ShapParticipantThey need players who can hustle and be effective on offense. I think the perfect player for them would be Al-Farouq Aminu. They really need a special player at the 3 right now. If they got a good three they could match up very well with many of the superb 3’s in the East. As for the weak shooting guards, they can live with Parker and Graham. This team just has too many players who only want to score (Bargnani, O’Neal, Bosh.) I would also consider getting a backup center because there is not much depth there.
