cuseflynn10ParticipantHere’s what Cleveland should do in my opinion.
Cleveland takes Irving first. Kanter and Williams go to Minny and Utah. Who would Cleveland take at #4? Brandon Knight is best suited in the point guard role, and I don’t think they’ll pull a 09 Wolves and take Knight. I think they may be better off trading it for a pick in next years draft. Imagine if the Cavs got 2 lottery picks in next years draft along with Irving and Hickson. They could be near the top of the league in 3 years if they trade the 4th pick to a team that gets them another high lottery selection.
Of course if Kanter or Williams falls to 4 I’d definitely say draft them, but I just don’t see it happening. Both Kanter and Williams can contribute now to both Minnesota and Utah.

DC ChillinParticipantI heard this opinion…
They pick Williams number 1, and then get Knight with the 4 since they have Baron Davis for the time being.

BKKnicksfanParticipantI think you take Irving with the 1st pick, then go deal to get Andre Iguodala using the 4th pick as a trade chip

Andrew1984ParticipantThey’re not going to trade for Iguodala, and they’re not going to select Derrick Williams. They will take Irving No 1. What they do with No. 4 is anybody’s guess.

Why not?

dacula18ParticipantWhy would the 76ers trade him after he had one of his best seasons and led them to the playoffs? They don’t really have a good person to come in and fill the whole for him. Maybe Young, but hes no where near as good a Iggy… I think its unrealistic to think 76ers would deal him for draft picks in a weak draft.

del90ParticipantAs much as I respect Kyrie Irving’s game, you just don’t draft him when the NBA is a league driven by size; and for the record, there’s quality size here: 1.) Draft Enes Kanter (PF) with the first-pick 2.) Draft Jan Vesley (SF) with the fourth-pick

Snubs15ParticipantThe league is also driven by good point guards and i doubt cleveland passes up on Irving just because there are bigger players than him lol. Hes the best player available so pick him.
If i were them i would trade for a lower pick where Kawhi Leonard is being drafted and pick him up.

RafterParticipantIrving is the man, there aren’t many other PG’s in this draft that match his potential, having a star Point Guard is a must in this league, at least, if the Cavs pass up on Williams, there is still some promising Forwards available, not to mention the FA and trade opportunities that’ll arise. With Byron Scott there, it’ll be tough to pass up on a PG who could be the next Chris Paul. Byron is a great teacher and he’ll give Irving the help he needs.
Cleveland’s rebuilding process starts with Kyrie Irving, Baron will be moved (interesting to see who takes on his contract) and possibly Sessions. As for the 4th pick, an athletic 3 is what i would lean towards, Vesley would fit in well but if Kanter hasn’t been taken, the Cavs have to snag him. Another interesting option and i’m just throwing it out there, Bismack Biyombo, him and Hickson would compliment each other very well, both of them are great athletes. Eventhough Bismack lacks the height for Center, he has the wingspan and athletic ability to play there, it never was a problem for Ben Wallace in the past. If the Cavs trade Varejao then so-be-it, the team needs a new fresh look and style.
The Cavs are in a good position, the best news i’ve heard all year.

Not really, it’s a big man’s league.

delfamParticipanthaving a star PG is not a must in this league, look at the Lakers. People keep saying this league is driven by PG’s and maybe it is, but bigs still win championships.

rydawgswParticipant^^^^^^^^^^^^
The 76ers have made it pretty obvious they’re going to trade Iggy..
