Tell Denver I will only go to New York, then tell New York to make an offer whether Denver takes it or not he will be there if they make the trade go ahead if not play in Denver for this year and then when FA hits sign on the dotted line with New York and dont look back at Denver.

A big part in Melo deciding to sign an extension with the Nets is the fact that they will soon move to Brooklyn. So in a sense he is going to New York, just not the Knicks. And yes the Nets, did acheive the worst record last year, only 12 wins, and they will be without their lead guard, Devin Harris, but other than that they have a promising future.

They have one of the best young centers in the league in Brook Lopez, an owner who is already a billionaire, he knows how to spend money well and has already promised a championship within 5 years for the Nets. Next off-season, Chris Paul goes on the market. If he does not like the direction Nohla is going than he is as good as gone and New Jersey can just sign him. He would gladly accept as he has already said he would not mind playing alongside Melo, and of course he would like the Nets more than Nohla because of Brook Lopez being much better than Okafor. They also have Murphy’s contract, so they could trade him this year and get a better starter than him of course. Or with him becoming a free agent as well next year, just let him go and sign a better player to replace him. The Nets could actually be quite good in 2011-2012 and in the coming years. So this actually isn’t that bad of a move.

Where do you see Chris Paul as a free agent next off-season he has 3 years on his contract left after 2 yrs he can opt out. Brook Lopez is a nice player but he averaged less than 9 rebs and 2 blocks on a weak front line last year. I don’t see him as a great player and the rest of the team withougt Harris is lacking a legit PG. Not really excited about Terrence Williams he shot 30% on 3’s and 40% overall. I’m curious to know what draft pick they’d be giving up in this deal.

I doubt the Nuggets would give up Nene. He’s one of the few pieces that actually fit in Denver. And they certainly aren’t going to trade Lawson. I mean they just barely drafted him last year and he actually did pretty good. No way they would give up on him now. And why bring in Lawson, that would just stunt the development of Teague. Why do that. Don’t be Detroit and stunt the development of your rookies, like they did with Rodney Stuckey when they signed Ben Gordon and moved him over to the Point instead of the 2.
