valentineall information i can find is from his freshman year and from when he played in the usa basketball squad saying he needs to add bulk and get to the line more.
in this season so far he’s been getting to the line more than freshman year. fact’ more than perry jones, terrence ross etc. He also added bulk, you can notice.
i usually notice players weaknesses but i dont really have one for lamb…

FastAndFuriousParticipantHe still needs to add more bulk 6-5 180 is still to small for his position at the NBA level, even Rip who ppl compare him to is 195, Lamb still needs more strength, but as you pointed out he is bigger than last year.

FastAndFuriousParticipantWell the site I would believe most says he is 180:
http://www.uconnhuskies.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/lamb_jeremy00.html
I mean maybe he is 190 he still is extremley small and needs to bulk up, I think he’s closer to 180 than 190 tho

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI Can Name Several Weakenesses Lamb have..
1.He still have trouble in isolation plays..
2.Doesnt have the ball handling shiftiness to get where he wants to on the floor..Lacks the ability to change directions quick, you can see it when he tries to beat a defender off the dribble….
3.Doesnt have many moves..His best move is a crossover…
4.Not that much of a creator with the ball…
5.Really needs to add strength, becuz he often gets cut off in 1 on 1 possessions when a help defender comes over..
6.Appears at times afraid of contact….Would rather force up a shot then attack the basket….
I see him being an all star player ,like a Joe Johnson or Rip Hamilton..But not a superstar like Wade or Kobe…

Future_Scout1. if jeremy lamb has trouble in isolation plays then tell me who doesn’t at sg besides tony wroten(pg) and austin rivers?
2. he’s not excellent at changing directions either, or at getting to the rim with super crafty moves, but he can drive it to the hole just as good if not better than any other SG prospect besides austin rivers. is a good dunker and has a sick floater.
3. REALLY? there are some many prostects with no moves, jeremy lamb is not one of them. he has the crossover. he has a killer hesitation move with either hand, nice stepback, and turnaround jumper.
4. he’s not a good passer so yea…
5. he needs to add bulk, agreed
6. that’s what they use to say last year, this year he’s doing a much better job of going strong… like i said, more ft than perry jones, terrence ross, etc..
Is hard to see a player being a kobe or a d.wade. we are talking about 2 top 3 sg of all times

lalailaParticipanteven if i have him as my top5 pick and i see him as an allstar sg but..
my question is what he do SO MUCH better than Will Barton i mean both are just some pounds from being a complete players..
Lamb’s range stroke length are better but still if he is top5 how Barton isn’t in the lottery?

RUDEBOY_ParticipantLamb isnt as selfish as Barton..Plays more in control…And a much better shooter then Barton…But Barton is much more aggresive than Lamb…

lalailaParticipanteven if Barton is selfish he avg almost twice more assists playing next to less talented teammates

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIf you’re playing on a running athletic team its easy to get assists….

apb540ParticipantYour first four weaknesses for Lamb all basically say he lacks elite ball handling ability. Outside of that and adding weight, this kid looks pretty stinkin’ good. I can’t wait to see UConn take on G-Town, ‘Cuse, WVU, etc. so we can get good looks at Lamb and Drummond.

RUDEBOY_Participantapd540 why do you have to wait until big east play to see Lamb? Lamb has been playing great so far and he’s the early favorite for national player of the year….
Nobody knows more about Lamb then the coaches in the big east….They’ve Studied and watched him up close so much ..It should seem that they will have their defense geared to stop him…

GrandmamaParticipantThe only two weaknesses I really see him having are lack of strength (something he’s worked on, but still needs to improve) and his passing ability. Other than that, he really doesn’t have any holes in his game. Someone mentioned he shys away from contact down low, that will change when he adds more weight/strength. I see him as a lock top 5-6 pick.
