Bagley is getting all the attention but Carter is going to be great in the NBA. Announcers said it during games, Bilas and other tweeted it. So I started paying more attention to him. Great form on his shot for his size. Good rebounding. Good shot blocking. Good post defense. Some refined post moves. Active. I’m a believer.

One of the best prospects outside of the top 6. Wouldn’t be surprised seeing him go as high as 7. Fits in that 7-12 range.

I think he’s one of those guys that will figure it out in year 3 or 4 and people will be on here wondering why there wasn’t more hype for him.

I would not take him over Ayton, Bagley, Porter, Doncic, Jackson (better shooter, a little quicker) or Bamba. After that, if you are set at PG, I take him.

Side note: I would want him over TJ Leaf and Zach Collins from last year’s draft.

I’m in total agreement on Carter.  I feel he does everything well enough to start out as a great back up big with potential to develop into a starter.  This will depend on how well he can guard NBA 4’s.  I think his post defense is solid along with his positioning for rebounds and box outs. The other bigs have upside but they all come with a chance of busting out or not meriting their high draft slot. Carter at 7-12 will be a steal. Even if he never becomes an All-star.

Would you take Carter over John Collins if you had a choice? I think Collins is a good pro and will have a long career. I’m not sold on Carter yet, but I can see why he could go as high as 7th. I think he’ll go 10-15 range personally.

One guy they are all sleeping on is Moritz Wagner from Michigan. If someone gets him at 44 as per the current mock, they are laughing. I would not hesitate after 20.

Hawks my 2nd team, I live in Atlanta and watch most of thier games. Collins has a lot of improving to do. He lacks a baskeball IQ, hustle, no moves and depends on athleticism. Hopefully he expands his game this summer .
