Dhph8711ParticipantDo you like Wizards picking Otto Porter in the draft??? How good Otto Porter can be with the Wizards???
My opinion is Otto will be good fit the Wizards cause he will be another scoring threat for Wall & Beal plus Vesely hasn’t work out so far another thing to he’s good potential other end of the court too. I think how John played second half of season offensively scoring, feed his teammates and bring alot of energy on the court i am pretty sure the make run to playoffs as a 8 seed or maybe as a 7 seed depending eastern conf. shake out.

FutureNBAGMParticipantAbsolutely. The trio of Wall/Beal/Porter would be an awesome young perimeter attack. With Okafor and Nene patrolling the paint, Im liking Washingtons chances of sneaking into the Eastern Conference playoffs next year.

halfdecayedParticipantStill not sure which one I prefer the most.. Kyrie-Waiters-Porter or Wall-Beal-Porter.. In both teams he’s an awesome fit anyway, and will be in both case in a position to suceed, I wish him well.

FutureNBAGMParticipantWell, I think he would be crazy to walk away from a $14 million deal in his final year.

ReactionParticipantQuestion Wizards fans.. Do you prefer Bennett or Porter? I heard Wall wants Bennett or at least he hinted that.

Hector_Reyes_8ParticipantI believe that Porter would be perfect in DC, it’d be a great team to watch. An 8th seed at worst, if everyone healthy.

KHAM83ParticipantWall has suggested that they pickup a stretch 4, so this suggests Bennett. I think they should look towards a big who can provide post scoring and grow with Wall and Beal. Therefore I suggest they take Len, since Okafor isn’t getting any younger. Reason why i do like Porter though, is that they need a secondary ball handler imo. Beal is not that type of player, while Porrer can be. Wall is the only one in the starting lineup that currently can bring the rock up.

SkipHippoParticipantBeal and Porter are friends from the high school days. Both are from Missouri and Beal tried to get Porter to play for his AAU team. They reconnected and hung out together when Porter was at Georgetown and Beal was playing for the Wizards last year.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Wizards are in great shape whether they go with Bennett or Porter. Personally I would rather them draft Bennett because I don’t want to see him stuck on a dysfunctional Charlotte or Sacramento team, I doubt NO would grab him because they view Davis as a PF, and Phoenix already has a forward logjam with the Morris twins and Beasley.
I view Porter as a Kawhi Leonard type guy with outstanding upside. Despite what anyone says about both players I think they can both continue to improve thier games similar to how Paul George continues to progress every year. Will they be borderline superstars by the time they are 23, probably not but I see them as advanced offensive and defensive SF’s with elite potential (Top 10 position wise). At the SF position that’s extremely important in today’s league.
As much as I try to justify Washington going for Bennett I just don’t se it happening, they seem content taking the safe pick like last year with Beal over Waiters/Barnes. Bennett may offer more offensive upside and versatility to add as a chemistry boost but he is not the safer pick.
