The Warriors have been playing well without Bogut. With their win over the Bobcats today, they are 11-3 in their past 14 games.
Lee is averaging 23-13r in Dec, while Curry is averaging 23-8a and Thompson is averaging 18.6ppg in Dec
Their bench deserves some shine too. Jarrett Jack has been the best backup PG so far and Carl Landry is playing like the Carl Landry in Houston seasons ago. And Draymond Green is an engine for them. Plays with so much hustle and energy and can fill up a stat sheet any given night.
They have been playing well but they alway have those "Warrior" moments where they make stupid decisions and lose to the magic after coming off a bing win, but that comes with having a young team. When Bogut comes back I believe they will be even better because he brings so much to the floor. And Harrison Barnes has been playing a great floor game. Not scoring much but playing defense and hitting open jumpers. His Athleticism Is something the warriors cherish. And Festus to me has been playing well too. He rebounds and defends hard and he has a great body to bang with other bigs.
i would like to see less shots taken by klay and for barnes to take more assertiveness on the offensive end...if they can include him in their offense more they will be a very good team this season. especially if lee can keep his all star play.
When has Barnes ever been assertive?
I know there is the MVP award, most improved player award, DPOY award, 6th man of the year award, and a few other awards, but is there a best 5th Wheel award? Barnes would be in the conversation for it.
The Warriors are definitely surprising me with how well their playing, but they really are missing a center. Festus is showing promising signs, but isn't quite there yet. There's no doubting that Bogut would make them that much better. But of course he's hurt.... I knew he would miss 40+ games this season before he was traded. Everyone knew that except for GState management I guess.
Nice win over the heat today. Klay had 27. Jack had 20-4-4. Lee 22-13.
