Put it this way he did beyond what I thought he would do in the assist category. I just wish he would develop a jumper, although it will tkae time he should go seek the same shooting coach DRose went to over the summer.

Assist numbers are better than I thought. he`s too fast for his own good, sometimes out of control when driving, jumper non-existant, needs more consistency but while Blake is getting the attention right now PG usually take 2-3 seasons before they come into their own

started off great to begin the season. Had a triple double in his 6th game (I think) and made everyone into a fan of his game. Then he got hurt and missed time (while Blake Griffin went riDONKulous) and Wall became an after-thought amongst rookies. When he returned from his injury, he hasn’t been the same but has been able to remain consistent in assist and has had a few good games here and there

Overall, like everyone else, his assist numbers are impressive. He’s made Nick Young better and sets up JaVale McGee nicely for easy alley-oops. His jumper has been up and down but I can’t blame him for that because he has shown flashes of having a solid jumper. I think he needs to work on finishing around the rim a little better this off-season but I think that knee injury is why he’s been struggling finishing around the hoops. Defensively, he’s been above average. I knew he’d be a good defender but he picked it up faster than expected. He hasn’t reached his full defensive potential but he does try to get steals and uses his size against smaller PGs to defend well.

I will say this, for the garbage team he has (a team with selfish players like Blatche, injured players galore, washed up Rashard Lewis, and a coach who isn’t that great to begin with) he’s done as well as he could have. They play in the HARDEST division in the NBA IMO and that team just does not have the talent right now. In all honesty, only Wall, young and McGee are their only bright spots. If this team gets another solid rookie this off-season, plus a new coach (maybe Larry Brown) and an off-season acquistion, I think Wall get much better and maybe in 2-3 years, he’ll be in that convo for best PG in the league behind Westbrook/Rose/CP3/D-Will

When you compare the rookie seasons of Paul/Rose/Wall, I would say Wall has done very well.

He’s having a real nice rookie season.  More ups than downs, and he is playing on a awful team.  I kind of hope they are able to get Sullinger.  I could see it being like a CP3/D-West combo.

As a Wall fan I hate to see him shoot the ball, because 99.9% you already know the outcome before he releases :/

I’m on the bandwagon with wall, no doubt.  I had no idea this kid had the court vision he has shown.  His jumper is broken and i hope it improves, but even if it doesnt, i still see a more physically gifted rajon rondo, and thats pretty frickin good. I cant wait to see him play healthy next year, i could see a line like 17pts 4.5 reb 10.5asts 2stl if not better.  Real deal.

    I’m giving him a C for a couple reasons

For passing, I’m not shocked that he’s doing this well. Once I saw Washington deciding to open up the offense, I expected him to find the open man with ease. What’s lowering his grade is a couple things. For one, he doesn’t know when to take over AND he plays in the offense too much. As a star, he will soon learn when to make the game his and take over. The second reason is 3.6tpg. He’s averaging almost 4 turnovers a game, that has to drop. I’m also stunned how he isn’t a better defensive player. I believe he’s a solid defender, but his length and speed, he should become a lockdown defender in 2-4 seasons.

Also, I remember this offseason when people were talking Washington up as a playoff team and even said they were better then my Knicks. Proved incorrect. I also seen people talk about McGee as a MIP candidate. No dice again. Just wanted to throw that out there : )
