SDEParticipantI read people was saying that they would take Dwade before Melo if they had the chance
I would take Melo but i like wade also….. i just think that Melo can do more for me
i need to know do yall think Wade is that much better than Melo or is Melo better than Wade0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/13/2010 - 10:38am #353432
NYCrealdealParticipantWADE>melo

ChrischiParticipantMelo and Kobe are the best scorer we have in the game.
But I’d take Wade over Melo because not only is a Wade a great scorer, ball handler and passer, but he is also one of the best defensive guards in the league, while Melo, although he improved, still struggles defensivly.

SteroidParticipantI wouldn’t say he struggles defensively, but he doesn’t put a lot of effort into defense unless he’s playing against worthy competition.

ChrischiParticipantOkay, I agree.

the I in winParticipantMelo doesn’t make the people around him better. Melo easily gets frustrated. Melo can play defence but chooses not to. Wade is an all around player that does everything for a team, except now he doesn’t have to.

ChrischiParticipantWhy should Melo try to do stuff he isn’t really supposed to do? He is a monster scorer and does what he does best. Attack, get to the line and score.
They have Billups to run the team.
And if you look at last year, Wade didn’t really make anyone better. He got some assists but that’s all. Basically everyone but him failed to really contribute or make an impact. He did it all by himself.

SteroidParticipantI would choose Melo over wade if I was building a team. Melo is a better scorer and a decent defender when he puts effort. He’s younger than Wade, and more than likely, he’ll have a longer career than Wade because Wade’s style of basketball doesn’t guarantee long, productive careers..
I agree. Wade doesn’t necessarily make his team mates better either, and Billups is the leader of the nuggets.

whyyouhatingParticipantWade can will a lotto team to the playoffs,
He willed MIA to a chip
constant attack mode and does more all around things.
Melo is pro the best scorere in the NBA next to Kobe.
But Wade is better and I take him over Melo, it’s closer than many think but the node goes to the guy
that has the chips and the bigger heart to win and all around better game. D WADE….0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/13/2010 - 1:19pm #353526
whyyouhatingParticipant” And if you look at last year, Wade didn’t really make anyone better. He got some assists but that’s all. Basically everyone but him failed to really contribute or make an impact. He did it all by himself.”
That is called a will to win and if you play with someone like that it rubes of on other players…ala MJ, not saying Wade is comapraible, even though his game is the closest to MJ because of the attacking style.
Melo to me is still close with KD for that 4th spot I give Melo the nod on that but not for long.
“wy should Melo try to do stuff he isn’t really supposed to do? He is a monster scorer and does what he does best. Attack, get to the line and score.”
Thats why Wade is the better player over all he does that and does stuff he is not supposed to average 2 blocks in one year at 6’4″, and more rep than Melo.

SteroidParticipantWade won a championship for the Heat, but it’s not like he wasn’t surrounded with veterans at that time. Granted, these guys were past their prime, but they were still pretty good nonetheless. It took more than Wade to get the finals.
Some of the players he had with him:
Shaq
Zo
Jason WIlliams
James Posey
Gary Payton
Antoine Walker
Udonis HaslemHonestly, I believe that some of MJ’s team mates hated playing with Michael. They feared Micheal more than loved him. Don’t get me wrong, they respected him, but he had his moments with his team mates. I think the “will to win” rubbed off on Micheal’s team mates because they were scared of him; not necessarily because they loved playing with him.
FYI: Wade only averaged one block per game.

pimpdeuce88Participantto me there both tied for the third best overall player in the league be hind kobe, and lebron… but wade is 28 so based on history he has like 4 to 5 yrs left in his prime and the way he plays probably less.. but melo is 26 and he shoots more jumpers and wears down his body left so based on style of play wade.. but longevity melo,, due to his prime duration he has left…

sc0rebuckets11Participantits wade.

IknoBall12Participanti want this guy becuz not many guys come into the league with his skill set and size and athletic ability. in my opinion good guards come around alot and i dont really see small forwards like melo coming around to often. hes an assassin in alll areas of the offensive game and defensively is getting better and better each game.

dahoodrecruiterParticipantu cant go wrong taking either player…so why come up with the arguments of who is better?
but since we on the topic lets discuse it ,if u take wade of that team that won the chip and put mello on the heat do they still win it all???
