BallerScriptParticipantNikola Vucevic is an all star talent and one of the most skilled bigmans in the league. The problem here is that he is stuck on the bench on a team that consistently misses the playoffs. Here are two trade ideas I have.
1. Nikola Vucevic to Charlotte for Frank Kaminsky, Jeremy Lamb, a 2018 top 5 protected pick and possibly another pick.
The Hornets are in the playoff race and the addition of Vucevic would work wonders as Kemba could do with another offensive player to help carry the load. For Orlando Kaminsky is a cheaper and more suited backup if that is what Orlando wants and Lamb provides depth at the 2 guard position. Future picks is a large part of this deal.
2. Nikola Vucevic to Portland for Al-Farouq Aminu, Either Mason Plumlee or Noah Vonleh and future picks.
This trade just pushes Orlando further into the rebuilding process which is good and strengthens Portland scoring and rebounding wise in a tough and competitive western conference.

HitsterParticipantI never figured out what Orlando are trying to do in the rebuilding process post D12, the guys they have drafted high they have either traded away, played out of position or are buried on the bench. They trade for Ibaka who could walk next summer and then sign a similar defensive big in Biyombo.
Vucevic has a very cap friendly deal and is only 26 so would interest a fair few teams, Portland is a good call but their cap is very tight but they do have a first round due from Cavs next year so could easily send a couple of picks over.
Charlotte have a fair few bigs and possibly have high hopes of Frank the Tank but Vucevic would give them proven scoring they have lacked in the front court since Al Jefferson was at his best. Plus Pat Ewing would bring the best out of Vucevic too.
Boston still have all those assets due so could put a very nice deal together. I cannot see Danny Ainge giving up a possible shot at Jackson/Fultz and co for Vucevic but he could send future Boston picks, other first rounders due, a young asset etc. Al Horford moving across to PF with Vucevic at C would be a nice frontcourt.

DolanCareParticipantVucevic and Payton go to NOLA for Jrue Holiday’s expiring contract and the 2018 first round pick, unprotected.
In this trade, Orlando competes for the playoffs with Jrue at PG and gets what is most likely a lottery pick in the next draft (2017 is just too loaded to potentially give the number one pick away).
NOLA gets a young point guard who’s been playing well recently. Payton is also from Louisiana so this will be a bit of a homecoming. Vucevic frees up Davis offensively allowing him to play more 4.

BallerScriptParticipantThe Pelicans were another team I considered but I thought that a trade to a team with the playoffs in sight would have been better for vuc

binetParticipantVucevic’s value is probably not very high considering the big man market is a buyer’s market with plenty of other interesting names allegedly available and cheap (Greg Monroe, Tyson Chandler, the sixers backups, etc…). Losing his starting spot to Biyombo also hurts his stock tbh, as most teams would not want to start Biyombo who is fringe as an nba starter (Vorp of 0.2 this season, never had a vorp better than 0.9 his entire career, by construction vorp of an average starter in the league is 2.0).
I can see many teams being interested by Vucevic though, either as a starter or an elite bench guy, but many of your offers are way too high imo.

HitsterParticipantGood point above by Binet so +1 from me, there are a lot of bigs on the ,market but Vucevic does have age, salary, contract length on his side. But it mighr mean that Magic get more a salary dump for him and save on future wages rather than get desired assets back.
